We are currently seeking a Sustainable Innovation Intern who will report to the Sustainable Innovation Manager at our Material Innovation Lab (MIL) in Milan, Italy.
Job Description
Your opportunity
You will be an integral part of the Material Innovation Lab (MIL). The MIL provides the Group’s Houses and key suppliers with resources, tools and new solutions to help them understand how to make more sustainable choices in their products’ development.
How will you contribute
·
Identifying new sustainable materials and processes in alignment with our brands
·
Updating the MIL collection of innovative and sustainable materials for brands reference, both the “library” and the database
·
Assessing the textile innovation landscape by inquiring on new technologies and innovators
·
Supporting the team defining and identifying sustainable materials to include in our brands' collections through both a technical and strategic approach
·
Collaborating with multiple external and internal stakeholders to support the daily implementation of innovation projects
Who you are
·
You have a bachelor or master degree, preferably in engineering, material science, chemistry or related fields
·
You have a general understanding of innovation material trends, circularity and sustainability aspects of the textile industry
·
You have a basic knowledge of project management principles
·
You are environmentally aware and passionate for innovation
·
You have excellent written and spoken communication skills, and can communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
·
You feel comfortable both working independently and as team player
·
You are a flexible, proactive and organized individual, and you are able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
·
You have a good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel Word and PowerPoint
·
You are fluent in Italian and English, both oral and written
