Position Summary:

Commercial Finance team is the business partner of the leadership team and is responsible for supporting retail (store) financial activities, leading process simplification activities and pro-actively assists leadership team in achieving company’s goals. The Commercial Finance analyst’s major responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, monitoring and suggesting optimization of store OPEX spending as well as capital expenditures, financial reporting to global Headquarter team and lead continuous improvement of financial planning and analytical processes.

Responsibilities & Duties:

·  Work closely with Commercial Finance Assistant Manager and cross-functional organizations to develop effective strategies and programs to meet functional and operational knowledge of broad company processes and policies.
·  Assist in all aspects of financial planning, analysis and reporting to proactively provide the Commercial Finance Assistant Manager with information to aid decision making and cost management.
·  Forecasting activities include the identification of risks and opportunities, work with functional teams to ensure control over critical areas of store profit & loss, and capital expenditures.
·  Collaborating with Retail Director and Area Managers to maximize each store’s profit.
·  Understand business implications which assist management in decision making.  
·  Develop and maintain database of key financial and operating metrics and/or performance measurements related to the functional organization

Qualifications:

- At least 3 – 5 years of financial experience in finance and accounting in retail company

- Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues

- Native Japanese and business level English proficiency

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)

- Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication skills, accountability and result oriented.

- Strong proficiency with PC and business applications including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Hyperion Smart View for Office (preferred)

- Working knowledge of General Accounting principles

- Must be living in Japan
