Coding Specialist/Data Entry

Location: Westgate, West London

Job Purpose

The primary objective of every role in Kantar Worldpanel Production is to ensure we are able to deliver data accurately and on time first time every time to our clients.

Our Clients demand the highest standards of data quality and as a Coding Specialist within the Coding Inputs team you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of accuracy and quality of purchase data recorded from our panelists.

In this role you will be responsible for identifying the promotions that are present across key UK retailers and ensure that they are accurately represented in our dataset as well as being involved in ensuring that data from our GB and Irish Panels are maintained to a high level of accuracy.

The role also requires for you to place products purchased by our panel into our coding framework so that they can be used to create detailed reporting analysis for our clients.

This role is key to ensuring the data delivered to our clients is accurate and on time first time.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for updating in store promotion information and ensuring that the data reflects the promotions accurately.
  • Responsible for identifying and placing products accurately into our coding framework
  • Responsible for the up keep of internal files to ensure data accuracy
  • Liaising with other departments to apply historical data changes and other client related requests to the dataset.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

  • Will have previously worked in an office environment
  • Will possess an inquisitive nature
  • Experience of handling data / numbers in a previous role will be an advantage.
  • Basic Word and Excel skills
  • Demonstrate a good level of numeracy
  • Knowledge and interest in consumer markets alongside an awareness of prices and the way that products are sold
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work under pressure to reach tight deadlines
  • The ability to work autonomously or within a team to ensure completion of a task.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Have drive and enthusiasm
  • Confidence to share knowledge
  • Be seeking personal development
