Job description

Master Production Scheduler required by one of the UK's established and largest sub contract suppliers. Due to continued, sustained growth and investment within the group, we are looking to recruit an experienced Master Production Scheduler who has experience of working with customers that demand a high quality product, delivered on time at a cost effective price.

The Role:

You will be responsible for managing the production planning team, with customer facing contact and communications, including:
- Balancing customer demand against factory capacities, work in progress and stock.
- Compiling information from other departments to produce a master production schedule to control and pace both internal production and the external supply chain.
- Chair monthly Sales and Operations (SandOP) Meeting, compiling data and providing analysis to the Senior Management Team.
- Establishing the master schedule, working closely with external customers, and internal teams, Operations, Material Planning, Production Planning and others to coordinate the manufacturing plan for the business.
Main Duties:
-Translate the monthly SandOP plan by product family into a detailed weekly master production schedule (MPS) with a 12-18 Month planning horizon
-Manage group inter-company demand into the SandOP supply planning process to ensure resources and capacity are available to meet demand requirements
-Identify and implement long term capacity assessment (RCCA) and development of action plans and countermeasures.
-Lead the strategic make/buy process.

We are looking to recruit a planning professional, who offers:

-3-5 years proven experience working as a master scheduler, product forecasting or production control within a manufacturing background.
-Experience of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and Material Requirements planning (MRP)
-Project management experience
-Strong people management skills
-Excellent communication and time management skills
-Ideally, APICS certification and Bachelor degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
