We are currently recruiting for a sales representative to join our team on a contract basis to cover Etobicoke and some parts North York and Mississauga. This representative will be responsible for the management of a sales territory including all sales calls on customers, business planning and product distribution and will ensure that key customer groups within the retail pharmacy and medical channels recommend LifeScan products.
ROLE SUMMARY:The primary duties of this position include:Implementing brand marketing and sales strategies at the local level and appropriately leveraging company resources to execute POA and achieve forecasted business results.
Devise and implement territory business plan that will enhance pharmacy sales and physician recommendations.
Use negotiation and influencing skills to enhance product knowledge and placement in the pharmacy channel.
Applying a range of consultative selling skills and in-depth clinical and product knowledge to drive business results.
Conduct training and promotional events (i.e. CHE/CME, Clinic Days, Lunch & Learns etc.) to enhance the education of customers.
Applies technical and clinical knowledge to influence practitioners’ treatment choice.
Ensures customers are continually educated and advised on the approved use of company products.
Identifying and cultivating relationships with key influencers.
Work with key partners to increase breadth and depth of messaging in establishing J&J as leading provider of diabetes solution.
Effectively merchandise product so that LifeScan has a dominant footprint in pharmacies.
QualificationsRequired Minimum Education (or equivalent):University degree in related discipline (Business/Health Sciences), Business Administration/Commerce or equivalent experienceMinimum 3 year’s of sales experience in direct selling or Business to Business, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device sales experience requiredRequired Technical / Functional Skills:Successful and consistent track record of delivering results a sales positionNegotiation and influencing skillsStrong interpersonal and communications skills required to relate effectively with fellow employees, patients, referral sources and health care professionals.
Efficient, Organized, Self-Motivated, Positive and Pro-ActiveAbility to work independentlyExcellent written & verbal communication skillsStrong competency to understand and communicate diabetes physiologyProficient in email, database management (call reporting/tracking) Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Excellent strategic thinking skills and ability to manage change.
