Job description:The Project Management Solutions / FPX organization is recruiting a Sr. Manager. The candidate will be part of J&J Corporate and located in one of our main European offices (campus location preferred). Candidate will work collaboratively within the FPX team in order to expand the integration of J&J’s Project Leadership Framework within all Operating Companies across business functions and sectors. The Sr. Manager will work as an internal consultant on assigned high priority deployment and integration initiatives as well as projects to assure effective and sustainable utilization of J&J’s best practices in Project Leadership. The candidate will provide leadership, training, workshop facilitation, and support to project managers and cross-functional teams, working closely with teams on an ongoing, as needed basis. In addition, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing FPX deployment plans for partner organizations in alignment with strategic business needs. This role also includes leading the development and deployment of innovative Project Management solutions in alignment with the transformation roadmap of Worldwide Engineering Project Management.
QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical field is required. An advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA) is a plus. A minimum of 10-15 years experience is required, preferably with extensive experience in cross-functional Project Management/Leadership, new product introductions or related areas. Certification/training in Project Management, Process Excellence, Lean Supply Chain, Design Excellence and/or Six Sigma is preferred. Knowledge/certification in FPX is a plus, FPX co-instructor level (T2) preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft MS Office and related applications is required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.). Highly developed Project Management, Change Management, and Leadership skills with extensive experience in key functional areas (e.g. Operations, Research & Development, and Engineering) are required. The Sr. Manager must be a driven leader with excellent oral/written communication skills, organizational skills while possessing the ability to influence and constructively challenge and train cross-functional project teams and business leaders to achieve project goals. Experience in developing and delivering training is preferred. Candidate must be able to quickly assimilate within a newly formed project team, providing critical guidance on J&J’s FPX methodology and PM solutions. The ability to provide guidance to project teams in areas outside of direct functional expertise is required. Candidate must be able to act entrepreneurially, autonomously, dynamic, and credible while adapting level and type of support based upon specific needs of the assignment/project. Candidate must also be able to independently drive change in multi-functional organizations.
This position is open to current EMEA based candidates and will be located in one of the main EMEA offices, preferably one of the main campuses. This position requires up to 75% domestic/international travel.
