- Clinical Supply Planning-00000W1YDescriptionThe PDMS Clinical Supply Chain holds the global responsibility all clinical supplies of Janssen Research & Development portfolio and the Global Medical Affairs portfolio. Our activities include all in-house and outsourced manufacturing of clinical supplies (API, Drug Product, Packaged and Labeled Clinical Supplies), demand forecasting, supply planning, and global distribution of clinical supplies. Through a global network and organization (US, Switzerland, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands, India), we are responsible for the manufacturing and scale-up of small and large molecules products in development and low volume commercial supply, and secure the supply to more than 60.000 patients in more than 330 clinical trials every year.
Global Planner
- Clinical Supply PlanningDescriptionThe Global Planner is responsible for the development, maintenance and communication of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Capacity Plan to ensure Patient / Customer requirements are met and the best Supply Chain Configuration is in place to ensure efficient use of Manufacturing Operations for Drug Product and API in the Clinical Supply Network. This will involve:
- Close collaboration with Supply Chain Managers, Pilot Plants, the Janssen Supply Chain, and CMO’s globally to ensure a reliable supply of drug product and API for clinical trials and low volume commercial drug.
- Partnering with CMC Teams, Development scientists, Technical (Launch) Integrators and Project Engineers.
- Ensuring transition and alignment of the constrained plan with the Detailed Scheduler
- The Global Planner will prepare for and hold Supply Review Meetings (SRM), participate in S&OP meetings and ensure the MPS is in sync with the functional business plan (FTE Resource Requirements).
- The MPS will be based on the customer requirements, capacity constraints, planning parameters and assumptions, stock levels and operations efficiency.
- The Global Planner is able to anticipate issues and communicate them to the appropriate groups with proposals for resolution.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated minimum 2-3 years of experience in Supply Planning in a Process Manufacturing Industry (Master Production Scheduling, Materials Requirement Planning, Capacity Planning)
- This candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of related work experience in a clinical or commercial Supply Chain function such as manufacturing, logistics, procurement or R&D.
- Demonstrated knowledge of enterprise systems and tools to manage a supply chain – SAP or ERP.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate internally and externally to effectively leverage available resources and skills.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently and manage negotiations across diverse groups (Product Development and Product Launch teams) within a matrix environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt effectively to rapidly changing organization issues, structures and dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to make difficult decisions in a timely fashion.
- Must have strong influencing and communication skills for presentation to all levels of J&J management
- Strong analytical abilities are required.
- Prior experience in a pharma R&D environment is a plus.
- APICS Certification and Lean certification is preferred
- Knowledge of advanced planning and scheduling tools
- Understanding of manufacturing execution systemsDegree
