Brand Protection Manager-1500046174WDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY:The BRAND PROTECTION MANAGER, Greater China Region assesses, develops and implements processes, programs, policies and technologies to help protect and authenticate products marketed by the Johnson & Johnson Group of Companies, covering all JNJ sectors, including MD, Pharm and Consumer. This role provides support to the Brand Protection Director – Greater China in solution design and implementation. Within the construct of “global reach / local focus”, the incumbent will help to ensure alignment between regional and global Brand Protection team strategies. The role is primarily focused on supply chain integrity and is dedicated to measures that help ensure genuine products reach our customers and consumers through authorized channels. Coordination of cross-functional brand protection projects is required to ensure compliance with local, national and international anti-counterfeiting laws and regulations pertaining to regulated healthcare products.
The BRAND PROTECTION MANAGER will operate in connection with the Johnson & Johnson Enterprise Brand Protection Group and Brand Protection counterparts in other sectors and regions of Johnson & Johnson to develop, leverage and implement strategic objectives in the following areas: Awareness and Training: Ensure functional knowledge of the risks and mitigating measures is communicated broadly internally to appropriate associates and externally to trading partners and customers. Such awareness and communication programs will be deployed across multiple supporting departments such as CD, supply chain, contracting, trade relations, legal, government affairs, security, and regulatory, as well as facilitate effective information sharing and coordination among Johnson and Johnson sectors. Supply Chain Integrity: Primary responsibility is to implement the Johnson & Johnson endorsed set of Safe & Secure Supply Chain Best Practices. Also, assess vulnerabilities within the global supply chain and identify solutions to mitigate risks. Technology Application: This individual is an extension of the Enterprise Brand Protection Technology group and provides local knowledge and coordination of brand protection technology capabilities and service/solution providers. Utilize his/her knowledge of overt, covert and forensic technologies, including track & trace, market monitoring, and information technology systems to recommend appropriate application of such technologies and analysis for new and existing products to mitigate the risks of illegal diversion and counterfeiting in the marketplace. The technology focus areas are concentrated into product protection, market monitoring (market surveys, internet monitoring, and sample purchasing), and data & analytics. Incident Management: As incidents of suspected counterfeit are reported and captured in the QA data base, the BRAND PROTECTION MANAGER will work with the Director GBP China, will first escalate known details of the incident according to the prescribed protocols and work expeditiously with internal and external investigative resources to authenticate the product/package and take appropriate action. Record financial impact of illicit trade by country as well as the projected revenue recovered from counter-measures.
Main Job Duties:
- Project management of technologies and systems designed to secure the supply chain. Establish ongoing monitoring systems for the internet, auction sites and on-line trade boards. Develop and deploy proactive initiatives to monitor sales channels, including regular sample purchasing, testing and analysis programs.
- Implement Safe & Secure Supply Chain Practices. Assess counterfeiting vulnerabilities of existing and new products and recommend risk mitigating measures based upon product & packaging characteristics, and supply chain and geographical pathways. Build sound business cases to support implementation.
- Define and measure the success of risk mitigation measures.
Incident Management – investigate reported incidents and provide timely subject matter expertise. Track and report trends, and record value recovery results on the Regional Value Creation Scorecard.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop IT based solutions for brand protection & supply chain integrity. Work with internal trade relations and industry partners to influence the reduction of illicit trade.
- Design and implement training and awareness programs globally to facilitate timely and consistent reporting of counterfeit and product diversion issues to a central location. Active collaboration with the Johnson & Johnson Global Brand Protection Group .QualificationsBusiness/Technical or Scientific Major.
Bachelor is required,MA/MS/MBA is desirable.3-5 related working experience should be a must.
