Overview:
As a member of the Technical Writing team in the Technical Operations department, this individual will provide technical writing support to activities under the guidance of the current Technical Writing staff. Technical writing support to other teams within the department and support to the filing and maintenance of documentation systems will also be required.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop pharmaceutical science skills outside the laboratory while learning about the interactions between various departments within a leading pharmaceutical company.

Additional Responsibilities:
• The Technical Writer is responsible for the preparation of accurate and complete scientific documentation for all aspects of the Over The Counter (OTC) product lifecycle from bench-scale to commercialization, both from a manufacturing process/formulation development perspective as well as the analytical chemistry elements.
• The role requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as some fundamental understanding of manufacturing processes to assist in the evaluation and interpretation of scientific data and trends to document resulting conclusions.
• The role also entails maintenance and management of systems for indexing, storage, and archiving of all scientific Technical Operation documents
• The role may include some support for the Technical Operations Laboratory, to ensure facilities remain in a compliant state acceptable to Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Pilot Plant support activities such as sampling and physical testing may also be required.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, eligible for an 8 month or 1 year co-op term beginning in January 2018.
• Strong Computer skills including extensive use of Word and MS Excel are required
• Experience with sharepoint sites, Adobe Pro and Outlook are an asset
• Exposure to manufacturing process and formulation development an asset
• Aptitude for the structure and documentation of scientific experimentation
• Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills are required, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail and quality mindset are essential.
