The Supply Chain Inventory Optimization Manager will:
· Manage short & long term inventory strategy using the existing reports, tools & processes and developing new reports, tools & processes.
· Define the right inventory targets, develop and drive implementation plans across NA Consumer and instituting the required business processes to ensure sustainable improvements to inventory are delivered to the business.
· Be responsible for both short term & long term inventory strategy (including SLOB) – and influencing Plan, Source, Deliver & Make partners across the NA Consumer organization to drive the strategy into action.
· Leading the Supply Chain with the objective of lowering overall inventory levels in the network while maintaining or improving customer service.
While developing the ideal inventory targets and implementation plan the individual will need to be able to influence peers towards driving action, coach & develop indirect team members on inventory in order to create a culture focused on inventory and to drive decision making aligned with the strategy defined. The individual will develop and conduct training on inventory processes and develop knowledge at all levels of the organization. The individual must be strong in navigating change management and adapting processes and tools across the NA Consumer network, considering the differences within each business and as the organization evolves.
As the Inventory Optimization Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
· Model & develop the ideal inventory levels & roadmap for implementation
· Partner with End-to-End Supply Chain Management leaders to develop models of existing supply chain networks and provide guidance in determining critical supply chain parameter assumptions
· Analyze optimization results and provide guidance/recommendations for inventory trade-offs & decisions
· Develop/oversee training program for user community on inventory modeling (SEIO & MEIO)
· Provide on-going support to users and improved understanding of inventory optimization concepts
· Influence acceptance and rate of change with senior leadership regarding optimization results
· Create a culture of engagement & deep understanding of inventory at all levels of the organization
· Actively engage in SAP/SmartOps user forums to shape next generation optimization functionality and logic
· Inventory reporting & inventory projection modeling (E2E supply chain & financial reporting)
· Manage NA Consumer SLOB & liquidation processes
· Use in-depth knowledge of inventory management trends, financial considerations, business strategies and future capabilities to develop and articulate the long term inventory strategy, vision and 5 year plan
· Lead efforts to educate stakeholders and the wider organization on inventory management process and strategy and links it to other functions across the JJSC organization
· Act as the Inventory Entitlement Modeling Business Process Owner & Subject Matter Expert – leveraging modeling tools to influence setting the right sized inventory targets considering E2E trade-offs.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required.
· A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or Management Information Systems is preferred.
· A minimum of 6 years' experience within supply chain or related field is required.
· A minimum of 2 years of inventory management/planning is preferred.
· Self-directed with a thorough understanding of production planning concepts is required.
· Experience with SAP/BW is preferred.
· Possess strong project management skills with a focus on change management required.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large amounts of data is required.
· Strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a collaborative team environment is required.
· Strong influencing and communication skills are required.
· Must be able to understand details of data and to summarize concisely to present, share and influence at all levels of the organization required.
· This candidate will be based in either Skillman, NJ, Fort Washington, PA, Los Angeles, CA, or Markham, CAN and may require up to 10% travel domestically and internationally.
