The Supply Chain Data Management (SCDM) team is recruiting a candidate with experience in designing, constructing, and deploying data solutions to deliver a more effective and efficient process to launch high-quality, innovative products to patients. The SCDM group establishes operating models, standards and tools across the J&J supply chain for all business segments to enable key capabilities for the enterprise by creating standard business data translations to connect data across a disparate landscape.

You, the Supply Chain Data Management – Data Science Analyst will:

· Perform assessments, profiling on data to understand its reliability in supporting business needs
· Identify relationships across various data sets utilizing a variety of analytical and visualization toolsets.
· Utilize algorithms to gain new insights across data sets
· Identify potential data inconsistency issues and work with SCDM and business counterparts to determine an appropriate course of action
· Provide support for SCDM data quality toolset enhancements, changes, issues, testing, training and deployments
· Enable analytical capabilities for the enterprise by creating standard business data translations to connect data across a disparate landscape.
· Identify transformation opportunities to leverage data to enhance business capability

The role requires both a broad knowledge of meta data management documentation and interpretation, data analysis, data query creation, and dashboard/visualization creation. The ideal candidate will have grounded knowledge in the field of data sciences and creativity to invent, customize, and work in a multidisciplinary environment to drive business solutions.

Position Responsibilities

You will work with colleagues in Supply Chain Data Management and partner with data stewards, IT, business subject matter experts to understand critical data needs. Key responsibilities will be to create data visualizations, data profiles, data transformations, and data quality tests. The candidate will be a part of the Strategy and Capability group within Supply Chain Data Management organization and will provide these data services for a variety of projects. You will collaborate across various functions in the supply chain such as Planning, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Distribution, and Customer Service.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  A bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years relevant work experience is required.
·  Solid understanding of data manipulation and data analytics is required.
·  Proficiency in one or more visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik is preferred.
·  Coursework in supply chain is strongly preferred.
·  Strong foundation in skills used in data science e.g. R, Python, Pig, Hive, SQL is required.
·  Experience with meta data management is preferred.
·  This position will be located in New Jersey and may require up to 10% domestic and/or international travel.
