We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Neuroscience Discovery research team, which is devoted to the discovery and development of novel therapeutics for neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders.
The Summer Intern will:
· Contribute to neuroscience drug discovery research projects by conducting cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and/or neuropharmacology experiments.
· Work with a team of scientists and postdoctoral fellows.
· Learn and conduct experimental design, carry out experiments and interoperate the results.
· Document their experiments in the lab notebook. Ultimately present their work in a seminar or poster session at the conclusion of the internship.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing Bachelors or above degree.
· Must be willing to work 40-hours per week for 10 to 12 weeks.
· Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1-B status) now or in the future.
· Demonstrated leadership is preferred.
· Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
· Candidates must have the ability to work individually (independently) as well as on a team.
· Candidates with academic and/or industrial lab experiences are strongly preferred.
· A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 is strongly preferred.
· Participation in campus/community service activities is desired.
