LifeScan, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Strategic Market Director primarily work remotely in the Pittsburgh, PA or Buffalo, NY region but will consider someone in the Mid-Atlantic Region of The United States.

Develops and executes business plans for assigned Commercial Health Plans, PBMs, Managed Medicaid Plans as well as government payers including State Medicaid to achieve optimal access, market share growth and profitability. Collaborates with Payer Directors and National Account Directors (NADs) to discuss operational business plans, implementation, issues, and trends. Partners with customers and execute pull-through strategies at the district level. Serves as a local market access resource for sales teams and other stakeholders across key products by providing detailed insight into all aspects and dynamics of the local market. Cultivates and maintains deep and broad strategic relationships with customers by providing appropriate, value-added programs that support the customer's strategic plan. Partners effectively with cross-functional departments including Finance, Contracting, Marketing and Sales. Leverages analytics, marketplace, competitor and clinical expertise to position the Diabetes Care Franchise (DCF) favorably within assigned accounts in order to maximize business results.Develops knowledge of all current products, therapeutic, and marketplace trends, and uses information to drive strategic goal attainment. Plans, adjusts, prioritizes and executes strategies to achieve results.

· Develops and executes results oriented business plans and pull through initiatives that are aligned with brand and customer strategies.
· Conduct business analysis to understand best opportunities and potential risks
· Align business plan to customer and company goals.
· Identify and align resources to deliver against plan.
· Monitor progress, conduct periodic business reviews with customers, as well as internal stakeholders and regional/district teams. Update as needed.
· Effectively communicate sales direction / pull through strategies to regional / district teams.
· Drives sales growth in assigned accounts to achieve targeted revenue, volume and share goals for the Diabetes Care Franchise (DCF).
· Develop and maintain relationships, establish new touch-points with Payor customers, as well as internal business partners and stakeholders to drive business plan goals.
· Lead and manage contract negotiations.
· Develop and drive implementation plans to achieve maximum growth potential.
· Find and develop new business opportunities within accounts and district(s).
· Create value for customers beyond price, correlating to high customer satisfaction and strong account growth and retention.
· Collaborates with assigned districts to maximize territory level pull through with Commercial Payers and State Medicaid.
· Execute District Managed Markets business plans through sales team focusing on highest value opportunities.
· Track sales results and revise plans / strategies accordingly.
· Coach sales teams on how to utilize tools and key messaging to maximize pull through.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, MBA is preferred.
·  Must have 8 years relevant business experience, and a minimum of 3 years in account management in a payer environment strongly preferred.
·  Experience managing and developing others is preferred.
·  Channel or payer account management experience is preferred.
·  Experience in the Diabetes therapeutic area is preferred
·  Qualified candidates must have proven sales, contracting, regional account success; strategic analysis/creative problem-solving skills; strong business judgment and financial acumen; strong communication skills: written, verbal and presentation; strong planning and organization skills.
·  Position requires up to 40% travel.
