Position Summaries:

As a Statistical Programming and Analysis Placement Student your role will involve gaining experience of all key aspects of Statistical Programming and certain relevant aspects of Clinical Research.

It is expected that in the Statistical Programming and Analysis Placement Student position that you will gain the knowledge, skills and experience required for the job through comprehensive training under the guidance of experienced personnel. A fundamental part of this training will be learning how to program using SAS software.

Upon successful completion of your SAS programming training your main responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

·  The development, verification and documentation of SAS code on your assigned clinical projects.
·  Helping to respond to programming requests in support of clinical trial reporting and submissions.
·  To design and develop statistical programs for your assigned projects.
·  Perform quality control in support of clinical R&D analysis and reporting.
·  Maintain documentation as appropriate.
·  Complete programming tasks of low to medium complexity with high quality and timeliness. Work with the team to plan and track content, format, quality, and timing of programming deliverables.
·  Identify and communicate lessons learned with support from your team lead.

Qualifications

Requirements for all roles:

·  2 years of degree level study completed
·  A minimum of 2:1 achieved in first year of study
·  Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or other scientific degrees preferred Skills required:

·  Ability to effectively apply knowledge and skills in a complex environment
·  Good written and verbal communication skills
·  Good problem solving and decision making
·  Ability to work in a team environment and independently as needed
·  Experience using (statistical) programming languages and data structures is a plus This role will close for applications on the 15th January and the assessment centre will be held in the first week of February 2019
