We have an exciting opportunity for a Staff Engineer to join our Technical operations department within a Partner Development role. Utilizing their broad Engineering knowledge of Materials Processing and Understanding of Engineering Theoretical fundamentals, the Staff Engineer – Partner Development will work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. The ideal candidate will have a wide application of principles, theories and concepts in the mechanical engineering fields plus a working knowledge of other related disciplines and manufacturing processes.

What you're great at:

· Strong Project Management experience/ exposure
· Knowledge of Electro/Mechanical Engineering
· Experience of high volume, manufacturing engineering
· Ability to organize and prioritize time effectively between multiple tasks and projects
· Attention to detail
· Ability to build relationships and liaise with multiple departments on and off site

As a Staff Engineer – Partner Development your typical day may include:

· Manage projects and lead cross functional teams to address quality, compliance, supply continuity, and cost management challenges.
· Trouble-shoot significant manufacturing process deviations and develop short and long-term solutions to prevent re-occurrence and advises quality partners on technical questions.
· Perform technical assessments of suppliers and external manufacturers related to manufacturing processes. Identifies and provides solutions to close compliance gaps and improve overall quality performance.
· Standardize technologies, processes and data in the external manufacturing to facilitate value in the areas of Quality, Service, Growth and Cost.
· Support teamwork and staff development through a commitment to mentoring and technical leadership
· Act as the voice of the customer

Desired profile

BE VITAL:

To be part of this high performing team you will have great attention to detail, alongside:

·  Engineering Degree qualified or equivalent, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
·  Previous experience within a Manufacturing Engineering role within a Multinational, regulated company.
·  Proven track record in collaborating in virtual teams, coving many sites and cultures
·  Experience interacting with metal working suppliers is a preference.
·  Prior experience participating in process efficiency improvement, technology transfer into base business, or cost reduction projects is highly desired.
·  A Process Excellence or Lean training or certification would be highly desired (Six Sigma/Lean Green or Black Belt).
·  Proven Track Record in the delivery of cross functional projects
·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, have strong decision making and problem solving skills and outstanding interpersonal relationship and people skills.
