As the Senior Process Engineer (2nd Shift), you will:
• Provide support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, to optimize existing processes and to ensure attaining production goals.
• Be responsible for all process/equipment validations and support product transfers.
• Initiate and complete technical activities to new or improved products or process, for current programs, next generation programs and to meet strategic goals and objectives of the company.
• Analyze and solve problems from basic engineering principles, theories and concepts through to a wide range of complex and advanced problems which require novel and new innovative ways or a breakthrough in technology.
• Cultivate network of resources, interacting cross functionally and with internal and external customers.
• Serve as a resource in the training of new engineers and employees and as a consultant for engineering or scientific interpretations and advice on significant matters.
• Collaborate with Quality and Research and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.
• Monitor performance of equipment, machines, and tools and corrects equipment problems or process parameters that produce nonconforming products, low yields or product quality issues.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

• A bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering.
• Certification in Six Sigma (e.g. Green or Black Belt) or Project Management is preferred; Professional Engineer License is an asset.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Engineering or Operations within a regulated industry is required.
• Experience in the Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals industry is required.
• Experience with manufacturing equipment is required; experience with milling machines, low temperature manufacturing processes, automation, and personnel supervision are preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation and technical writing skills are required.
• Knowledge in Lean Six Sigma, statistics, problem solving/root cause analysis, and regulatory compliance with all local and federal agencies (i.e. FDA, ISO, OSHA) are preferred.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written) is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required, Intermediate Excel skills are required.
• Experience with Minitab and programming PLC are preferred.
• This position requires up to ten percent (10%) of travel.
• Availability to work a 2nd shift with rotating work weeks and weekends (i.e. Monday through Friday, Tuesday through Saturday, etc.) is required.
