Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. is recruiting for a Scientist, Global Baby Franchise Research & Development located in Skillman, NJ.

You will:
• Support regional and global projects for the Baby Care Franchises, and will be responsible for formulation of new products using consumer insights from appropriate channels
• Work with internal and external organizations to assess new technologies for future new product development
• Perform all formulation tasks including batching, stability, and documentation
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and meet all project deliverables on-time
• Troubleshoot formulation issues and provides formulation support during scale-up activities
• Plan and execute GMP batching for safety testing, claims testing and consumer testing when appropriate
• Conduct competitive product analysis and trend analysis
• Conduct literature and patent searches; organizing and assimilating results of literature searches; design of experiments; data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation; chemical and material characterization; development of measurement techniques and in-vitro models; and prototype formulation development for proof-of-concept clinical studies.
• Operate with some independence from technical direction and execute projects and analysis with hands-on involvement
• Be accountable for the design and execution of projects linked to global strategy

Desired profile

Qualifications
• Minimum of a Bachelor degree with one year of related experience working in R&D product development, developing formulations and/or related field OR a Master degree is required
• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Pharmacy is preferred
• Experience with formulations is strongly preferred
• Cosmetics, Over the Counter (OTC) or pharmaceutical experience is preferred
• People leadership skills preferred
• R&D Product Development preferred
• R&D Intellectual Property or literature search preferred
• Ability to handle routine processes and complexity are required
• Collaboration, risk taking and decision-making skills are required
• Willingness to work in Skillman, NJ is required
• Up to 10% domestic or international travel required
