The Global Services Centre of Excellence has responsibility for providing accounting services, business analytics and reporting for Finance colleagues in 22 countries across the Consumer EAME region. Johnson & Johnson Consumer EAME has sales of over $ 4B across ~100 different brands.

• This is a crucial role within the GS CoE Operations Accounting Team and the wider GS Consumer EAME Centre of Excellence, responsible for over 25 affiliates and 8 Manufacturing Plants across the EAME region.
• Key to this role is ensuring that new Projects comply to fit within the complex financial transactions and flows, ensuring that correct results will flow through to financial statements, costing and Intercompany pricing for all entities are accurate and compliance is in line with Johnson & Johnson guidelines.
• Being able to lead stakeholders and forge strong networks/partnerships and build and maintain strong relationships with Business Partners is crucial to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Process responsibilities:

• Operations Project Accountant you will be the Operations Finance representative liaising with the various EAME project teams to ensure all data set-ups impacting accounting flows involving the inventory flows are seamlessly integrated into the EMEA statutory and management reporting processes.
• Project management of data set-ups changes affecting EMEA.
• Represent Operations Finance in UAT testing to review the impact in the statutory and management accounts.
• Ensuring the accounting flows fit within current processes wherever possible but if not then ensure new process fully documented and trained.
• Work with Operations Finance teams for efficient data setting in SAP.
• All new systems/process must meet SOX requirements.
• Data set-up support of any new projects post go live until all teething issues resolved.
• Review of Operations processes to ensure new additions are properly integrated post-implementation
• To assist with the management of the month end financial close process throughout
• Assisting with Ad Hoc projects or tasks when required.
• Project briefings to GS COE & Operations Finance during monthly team meetings as appropriate.

• Work closely with Statutory Accounting CoE Team to make sure that e.g. local environmental taxes are calculated based on latest rules and all changes in local law are considered.

• Develop and deliver training materials for Operations Accounting team.

Compliance Statement :
• Ensure strong internal controls are in place, in order to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings.
• Accurate and timely month-end reporting. Meet all corporate and regional deadlines.

Scope of Role:
• This role is a key member of the COE Operations Accounting Team structure so applicants must be collaborative in style, open to change and always seeking to improve the way things are achieved. The scope will touch on all areas of the Inventory accounting across EAME Region, which carries a high level of responsibility and opportunity for the right candidate.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
• Fully qualified accountant or an international qualified accountant equivalent, with 2-8 years post qualified financial experience

Languages:
• English essential
• Other European languages desirable

Experience Required:
• Strong accounting and operations background
• Knowledge of SAP, Excel, and ideally J&J systems
• Ideally familiar with Johnson & Johnson worldwide procedures and practises.
