In the dynamic and challenging world of healthcare product development and distribution, our Operations Team is integral to our success in delivering quality outcomes to patients. We are seeking an Inventory Controller to join the DePuy Synthes Operations team to be accountable for inventory control to minimize stock holding whilst maximizing both stock efficiency and accuracy across multiple distribution centers across Australia.
In this newly created position, you will play an integral part in shaping the function of this role to ensure it meets the needs of the business. Other responsibilities include:
· Managing all inventory control related activities for our orthopaedics business
· Effectively manage activities in all sites for cycle counts, excess and expiring inventory
· Monitor stock fluctuations in line with product life cycle strategies to maximize the availability and efficiency of both loan kits and replenishment inventory
· Partner with Purchasing/Planning, Goods Inwards, Kit Production, National Warehouse and state based Loan Kit teams to ensure necessary functions are carried out
· Write and maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions
· Provide regular management information on inventory performance and cost controls:
· Monitor and evaluate consumables usage & costs
· Monitor & evaluate material utilization and scrap
· Implement improvement processes and systems to reduce inventory, minimise costs and maximize working capital
· Manage the complete Quality adherence for all stock movements to ensure they are fully transacted in the ERP system.
· Implement national control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.

We are seeking an experienced inventory management professional who has a detailed understanding of MRP & inventory control/management systems to take on this newly created role. You will also possess:
· Significant amount of experience in inventory control within a large complex organisation
· Demonstrated strengths in reviewing and analyzing stock levels and reports
· Experience in creating and writing SOPs
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Previous experience working with large ERPs , preferably SAP
· High level of proficiency with MS Excel
· Excellent collaboration and influencing skills
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment to achieve mutual goals
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment.
· Tertiary qualifications in supply chain, logistics or similar field
· Experience with LEAN manufacturing, Kanban and Kaizen continuous improvement or similar production tools within a low volume, high quality manufacturing facility would be highly advantageous.
