Overview:
The Medical Information Associate (MIA) is a customer-oriented product and therapeutic area expert who provides clinical dialogue and support to healthcare providers (HCP) and consumers. The MIA actively contributes to cross-departmental initiatives and business strategies, sharing data trends and highlighting customer, scientific and competitive insights. The MIA contributes to process improvement and innovation to optimize medical information delivery.
Your key responsibilities:
· Provide scientific, product/therapeutic area and disease state subject matter expertise to internal and external customers
· Develop and deliver verbal and/or written communication of researched medical/scientific information to healthcare professionals and consumers in response to unsolicited requests
· Proactively maintain standard Medical Information (MI) Responses
· Shape and inform business strategy through:
· Active participation in cross-departmental brand meetings/processes
· Analysis of MI data, and sharing of customer, scientific and competitive insights
· Interpretation and contextualization of relevant literature
· Collaborate with internal business partners on the development, review, approval, and implementation of promotional material, scientific presentations, corporate communications, and patient education projects
· Deliver training to business partners on product knowledge and MI processes and resources
· Contribute to the management of marketplace issues
· Identify and report adverse events and product complaints for Janssen products
· Contribute to local and/or global MI projects to optimize deliverables to external and internal customers
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or another healthcare profession, or a degree in Life Sciences is required; an advanced graduate degree highly desirable (MSc, MD, PhD, PharmD)
· A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required
· Experience in a pharmaceutical industry Medical Information department, in a regional or hospital drug information center, or in a healthcare setting is preferred
· Clinical or scientific background in immunology is an asset
· Familiarity with regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines/policies is preferred
· Project Management experience and/or certification an asset
· Ability to research, interpret and translate complex scientific information into professional communications to healthcare professionals and business partners
· Working knowledge of relevant software programs (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Products, CRM tools, etc.)
