The Global Material Requirements Planning team is responsible for the replenishment of raw materials essential for our production of biopharmaceutical products for our patients. The Material planning team leads the inventory management of raw material while optimizing Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) values, to best of class performance for the pharmaceutical industry for the platform of Large Molecule API
Material Planning (MRP) Team Leader
The Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Team leader is accountable to co-ordinate activities related to the planning and procurement of raw materials, consumables and components, converting the output of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and the Detailed Schedule (DS) into material requirements to ensure availability of the right quantity of components to the production lines when needed; communicating the plan to the different suppliers within the agreed lead times. This role opens for the successful candidate a long-term career in the Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
· Co-Ordinate the development, maintenance, communication and publication of the Materials Requirements Plans (MRP) to ensure that patient / customer requirements are met. Maintain Raw Materials, Consumables and Components inventories within target, while minimizing excess, obsolete and expired materials (Inventory Destruction Avoidance(IDA)). Contribute to the global balancing of Materials within Global Planning, ensuring efficient and effective procurement & inventory practices and optimizing the balance between quality, service, reliability and cost.
· Partner with Global Procurement to drive Supplier performance improvement including quality and on-time delivery (OTD) in line with MPS at Platform level.
· Co-ordinate required communication into the Supply Review Meetings (SRM) and Short-Term Exception Management (STEM) processes at both Site and Platform Level.
· Interfaces globally with Supplier Quality (ESIQ), site Quality, Finance and warehouse staff regarding rejected / defective materials, making the necessary physical arrangements with the supplier to ensure a prompt return of goods or disposal. Lead the inventory management of raw material globally for the platform API sites.
· Develop and project-manage regional and global programs to deliver continuous improvement in KPI's.
· Develop, coach and guide team of planners in the execution, strategies and realization of departmental and company goals, advances succession planning by holding career conversations with staff.
Desired profile
Qualifications
Education:
· Bachelor Degree in a Supply Chain Management or other related Business discipline is essential.
· Supply Chain Certification is preferred e.g. APICS.
· Lean Certification is desirable.
· Project management certification is desirable.
Experience:
· A minimum of 5 years relevant Supply Chain Management experience (Planning, Logistics or Manufacturing) is required.
· Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Leadership role (People Management/Project Management).
· Experience in Planning/Purchasing in a multi-national environment.
· Experience in the use of SAP would be beneficial.
Knowledge, Skills and capabilities:
· Possess clear ambition and capability to progress to leadership roles of added responsibility within Global Planning and Janssen Supply chain.
· Ability to develop, coach and lead a team of direct reports in the execution, strategies and realization of departmental and company goals.
· Ability to build strong collaborative teams and relationships both at site level and platform level when required.
· Ability to communicate clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms. Ability to translate complex situations into simple working solutions.
Ability to drive & apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements to large and complex projects.

Language Requirements: English essential
Travel Requirements: Up to 15% per annum.
