LifeScan Scotland was created in 2001 when Johnson & Johnson acquired the UK assets of Inverness Medical Ltd, a medical device company established in Inverness in 1995 to design and manufacture glucose test strips, and design electronic meters for the global diabetes market.

With a focus on future development, LifeScan is committed to “creating a world without limits for people with diabetes.” Around 1,000 people are employed at the Inverness site, which is regarded as Johnson & Johnson's centre of excellence for diabetes and self-monitoring of blood glucose (SMBG).

If the answer is yes we have an exciting opportunity for 4 apprentices with engineering and 4 within Quality to come and work at our LifeScan Scotland facility in Inverness.

We are looking for bright individuals who want to push themselves to help us deliver the next generation of products for the worlds largest healthcare company.

This is a fantastic opportunity to study and gain valuable, practical knowledge & skills whilst being paid a salary.

Working closely with the Highlands and Islands Univeristy in Inverness and SEMTA (Science, Engineering, Manufacturing Technologies Alliance), where you can kick start your career, learning new skills in a fast paced and exciting environment.

As well as on the job training and personal development, this 4 year apprentice-training program will result in the attainment of either an SVQ or HNC and many carry on to complete their Degree qualification.

What you'll own and how you'll grow:

Joining the programme will give you the opportunity for professional development and growth whilst studying. Pathways towards HNC, HND or Degree are possible depending on your level of academic qualifications at the time of starting. In this role you will be part of a technically expert team providing innovative solutions in a creative environment.
