Job description

Johnson & Johnson Medical Caribbean, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for Junior Sales Representative to support the Metropolitan area of the Island.

Johnson & Johnson International – Medical Caribbean is the sales organization for Johnson & Johnson professional products such as sutures and surgical equipment, products for the prevention of infections and injuries in the operating room and cardiovascular products.

As the Junior Sales Representative for One MD (Medical Devices), you will:

Identify commercial needs, opportunities, weaknesses and strengths of the franchise to improve the business and to propose initiatives and solutions and optimize sales.
Provide professional clinical support to customers (primarily physicians, nurses, and techs) or indirect sales channel force, through education and training.
Build long term plans strategic customer relationships, at a clinical level, leverage relationship across accounts to develop new value-added business opportunities.
Begin to build relationships with distributors and learns their capabilities; understand the business model, the commercial polices concerning distributor relationships, and the franchise and geography distributor model;.
Establish strong relationships with customers, obtain feedback, understand their needs and maintain adequate service levels by providing high level customer support and on- going communication.
Gather and use data to make territory/business decisions and implement franchise plan with timelines, roles, and responsibilities; work with manager to define and to understand relevant data sources and prepare forecast.
Communicate product claims, benefits, and objections; effectively position products; understand target customers and their product needs; demonstrate products effectively; handle and channels complaints.
Keep updated in product information, launching of products and procedures by constantly completing study training material, reading product awareness reports and assisting to congresses and proofed events.
Collaborate with marketing to develop implementation plans for programs and support implementation in the sales field. .

Desired profile

Qualifications :

A Bachelor's degree is required with a preferred focus in natural science or engineering disciplines. Master's Degree is preferred.
0 – 2 years of experience in Sales or Sales & Marketing in a similar job, in the Over the Counter, in Consumer Products, or in the Healthcare sector is preferred.
Hospitals, Surgery Atmosphere (operating rooms) experience is preferred.
Travel (inside designated territory will be required) up 50% is required.
A valid driver's license is required.
Proficiency in MS Office Platforms (Word, Excel, and Power Point) is required.
The selected candidate must be able to carry objects from 20 to 30 pounds occasionally. (When carrying up to 50-pound personal assistance is required)
Operating Room Presence - Employee is required to be present within Hospital Surgery Rooms as part of role.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
