[Summary]
Site BE Lead is responsible to make significant improvement in the Operations, using Business Excellence Methodologies and best practices.
This includes 1) the leading and execution of projects, 2) coaching projects, 3) creating a continuous improvement and Lean culture.
- Works with major functions to improve COGS, reduce inventory and create flow aligned to customer demand.
- Develop and maintain current and future state Value Stream Maps (VSM).
- Prioritizes and tracks the progress of projects and initiatives.
- Provides training on Process Excellence Methodologies and best practices, drive certification initiatives, supports statistical analysis, and contributes to people engagement.
- Supports the organization in any initiatives to improve processes through the use of best practices and tools; dashboards, tier process and scorecards, visual factory, etc
[Responsibilities]
1) Lead continuous improvements and transformational projects using best practices and Business Excellence tools
2) Define strategies for product cost optimization covering areas such as waste reduction, OEE, changeover and cycle time reduction, streamline product/people flow.
3) Provides effective management of team members/key stakeholder to achieve desired results.
4) Coordinates cross functional team to drive business and organizational results
5) Facilitates preparation and submits for approval the necessary documentation to initiate the project(e.g. project case, project proposal)
6) Identifies and facilitates activities required for projects completion. Prepare project plan and provide follows-up to critical milestones to ensure on time completion.
7) Engages people to a continuous improvement environment thru Kaizen teams, improvement ideas generation, BELT/KAIZEN certifications, and other activities.
8) Supports and leverages benchmarking activities. Creates plans to improve our competitive benchmarking for the following et indicators: Cycle time, Waste, Production, OEE.
9) Manage site/ area metrics dashboards / scorecards, performance reports, etc
10) Drive special initiatives to improve the organization competitiveness.
11) Identify improvement opportunities by mapping processes or updating current/future VSMs for the targeted areas
12) Coordinates GEMBA walks, keeps track of actions identified
[Requirements]
1) Expert knowledge of Lean methodology or other business excellence tools
- A Green Belt is a requirement
- A Black Belt or Master Black Belt is a plus
2) Strong leadership, time management and project management skills
- Experience of leading KAIZEN/CI team required
- FPX PL or LPDP(or PDP) certificate (or equivalent) is a plus
3) Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is a requirement
4) Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to influence peers, superiors, and partners.
5) Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel(or mini-tab) / Visio
6) Requires strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices in solid manufacturing processes
- Over 2 years of experience in GMP working environment required
- Extensive knowledge of formulation & packaging activities is a plus
- BE(PE) or CIP experience is a plus
7) Previous experience in process data gathering/analysis
8) Knowledge of manufacturing site systems and procedures (SAP, Compliance wire, Doc-space, Tier process, reliability room, performance review process, … etc.)
