Johnson & Johnson Medical Netherlands is working together with hospitals and healthcare organizations in optimizing health care by providing medical products, instruments and services. With approximately 300 employees Johnson & Johnson Medical is one of the largest healthcare suppliers in the Netherlands. In the Commercial Excellence department we support and improve our commercial organization and for this we have an internship available for a period of six months. Main tasks are to structure and analyzing (sales) data. We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with an economic and / or financial background who can make independent analysis and also likes solving (practical) problems.

Purpose:
The purpose of this internship is to familiarize the intern with J&J corporate environment's management and technical skills, communication techniques and decision-making processes through hands-on work experience. The internship is researching the theoretic models of Value Based Healthcare (VBH-Porter) and compares these models with the existing models in the Dutch Healthcare market. Part of the research is interviewing customers to define the needs and identify possible gaps or unmet needs.

Primary Internship Goals:

· Get familiar with the medical/ health care market.
· Getting involved in at least two major projects involving Finance, Marketing, Sales and Account Management.
· Actively contribute to the success of these projects by analyzing, challenging and advising on business decisions.
· Support reports with data collection and in-depth data analyses, with extent use of MS Excel and MS Access.
· Learn about pricing strategies and analyses to optimize sales and contribution impact.
· Actively interact with all stakeholders involved to learn from their experience and knowledge.
· Write a report on this experiences, achievements and learnings.
· Participate in company meetings.
· Develop professionalism and communication.

Desired profile

·  Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree: Business Administration or equivalent
·  Fluency in Dutch and English
·  When: asap 4 - 6 months duration
·  Compensation EUR 500,- gross pro month (fulltime, 40 hours)
