Johnson & Johnson Vision, Inc. is currently recruiting an Injection Molding Engineering Technician II to join it's dynamic 3GT (3 rd Generation Technology) team located in our global headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida .

The Injection Molding Engineering Technician II is recognized and respected as expert with the injection molding machine (IMM), with strength in the carryover (2A) areas and in identifying IMM equipment reliability issues.

Main Responsibilities :
· Operates, maintains and provides technical and process support for the Arburg and Netstal injection molding machines
· Provides emergency response for machine and/or process troubleshooting and repair
· Trains and develops others in process improvements and injection molding machine (IMM) management, while reducing process variability and addressing IMM equipment reliability issues
· Provides technical training and certification for IMM Technicians on the operation and troubleshooting of the IMM machinery and process
· Monitors IMM equipment and process status for new products and new installations
· Creates, reviews, and updates electro/mechanical drawings, operating manuals and procedures, maintenance and calibration procedures, and training manuals as required by the scope of projects that are assigned
· Investigates alternative methods and procedures to reduce variability and improve equipment reliability
· Assists in the design of experiments, under operational and developmental conditions, to increase yields and improve IMM machine reliability, repeatability and standardization Vigilant for shop safety, environmental safety, ergonomics and hazardous energy control
· Utilizes Process Excellence tools
· Maintains current knowledge and adhere to provisions of FDA, OSHA, GMP, MPs, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, equipment specifications and process specifications
· Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  High school degree or equivalent required; Associate degree or 2+ years of college in technical discipline or equivalent with an emphasis on electro-mechanical and IMM training highly preferred
·  2+ years of IMM maintenance or engineering experience with high volume Injection Molding environment required
·  Working knowledge and troubleshooting skills in the following areas are required: IMM knowledge, electro/mechanical devices and electro/mechanical troubleshooting/repair
·  Good communication skills, both written and verbal, required
·  Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks required
·  Ability to work in an empowered work team environment required
·  Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include: walking, stooping, crouching, pulling, bending, pulling, light lifting (Up to 25 lbs.), grasping, visual acuity, kneeling, reaching, pushing, talking, standing, fingering and crawling
·  Must be willing and able to work either the day and/or night shift and overtime as needed in support of a continuous operations environment
