Position Description:

Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering located in its manufacturing site at its global headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.

Applies fundamental engineering skills to the planning, development and design of processes and equipment. Directly oversees the supervision of sub-contractors to ensure company and government specifications have been met from beginning of design process through installation and start-up processes. Evaluates current processes and equipment and makes recommendations to improve product quality, efficiency, yield and safety. Adheres to environmental policy and procedures and supports department environmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identifies, plans and executes mechanical projects requiring detailed evaluation, ingenuity and responsibility.
• Assists with qualification of new equipment/controls and assists in vendor and site acceptance testing to meet engineering standards.
• Develops equipment specifications, HECP, SOP, JSA, calibration and maintenance procedures.
• Interfaces with other department of the organization to clarify requirements and objectives.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Desired profile

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in and Engineering discipline required, mechanical or industrial engineering degree preferred

Experiences & Skills:

• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience required
• Equipment development, change management, automated manufacturing, and validation experience preferred
• Ability to work effectively as a core team member required
• Project management experience required
• Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical field preferred
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills

Other:

• Up to 10% domestic and/or international travel required
• Green Belt Certification preferred
