Ethicon, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Digital Marketing Channel Manager, Global Strategic Marketing (GSM). The preferred location for this role is Cincinnati, Ohio with consideration given to Somerville, NJ location.
The Ethicon business offers a broad range of products, platforms and technologies-including sutures, hemostasis products, surgical staplers, trocars and synthetic mesh devices-that are used in a wide variety of open and minimally invasive surgical procedures, and energy based surgical devices. The Ethicon Digital Marketing Channel Manager has responsibility for contributing to Ethicon's overall success through management of one or more of its primary strategic digital marketing channels. You will assist in execution of the digital marketing and emerging channel strategy through globally repeatable best practices, standards and centralized capabilities to increase and accelerate digital activation with Ethicon customers and external audiences. This will enable Ethicon to operate in strategic, efficient, effective and interconnected ways. This will result in a more holistic digital brand experience and deliver greater value to Ethicon customers across every market across the globe, every day.
In this role, you will:
· Execute the Global Digital Strategy in collaboration with the Sr. Manager, Digital & Channel Strategy, Marketing Managers (Global & Regional), Global Education Solutions Managers and IT project teams to assist in prioritization, needs assessment, and capabilities definition/deployment of one or more of Ethicon's primary strategic digital channels.
· Create a digital playbook.
· Develop toolkits for regional/local market application.
· Compile, assess, and communicate global digital trends that inform our Global Digital Strategy and tactical planning as it relates to the assigned channels.
· Lead project execution for corporate digital initiatives prioritized within the Global Digital Strategy/Roadmap.
· Monitor assigned channel activity.
· Analyze and elevate analytic benchmarks and KPIs (key performance indicators) for digital.
· Collaborate with regional partners to support regional digital/brand efforts and drive digital excellence, efficiencies and prioritized planning for adaptation at the regional/local level in alignment with strategy and roadmap.
· Reduce complexity and drive efficiency regarding digital.
· Act as a subject matter expert as needed for digital/emerging channels training/events.
· Assist Ethicon in exploring new and unique opportunities to reach customers via emerging channels and push the limits on emerging technology. This will help the organization in remaining current with competitor digital efforts, building opportunities for Ethicon to test new and exciting technology, bringing value and developing brand loyalty among our customers.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's degree a plus.
· A minimum of 6 years progressive business experience required with a minimum of 3 years digital marketing and/or digital user experience is highly preferred.
· Health care and medical device industry experience highly preferred.
· A thorough understanding of the surgical/healthcare customer journey and the role digital plays in the marketing mix is highly preferred.
· Depth of experience working in digital marketing to healthcare stakeholders for a healthcare company or agency is required.
· Comprehensive understanding of the digital ecosystem and how web/mobile/social/search & e-commerce channels work together to optimize behavior, acquisition and sales is required.
· Familiarity with segmentation, analytics and direct experience with web measurement/analytics is preferred.
· A passion for understanding customers and keeping current with media and technology trends is required.
· Ability to clearly articulate recommendations and results to team members and management is required.
· Ability to be a team player and individual contributor, and willing/eager to work in a hands-on capacity with creative people are required.
· The ability to collaborate successfully and build relationships with internal teams, suppliers and agencies are required.
· The ability to influence multiple stakeholders across multiple disciplines, geographies and organizational levels is required.
· Exceptional writing, communication, presentation and influence skills are required.
· Global cross-functional marketing or agency experience are preferred.
· Healthcare/B2B background is preferred.
· M&A integration experience is preferred.
