As Coordinator, Payroll Services you will perform tasks related to analysis, execution, and support of payroll processing while maintain the utmost confidentiality in dealing with employee records and business information. You will perform data entry, uploads, and other transactional tasks related to Payroll Services. As a Payroll Service team member, you will ensure that deliverables meet or exceed individual objectives, adhere to payroll goals, and align with service center strategies

Additional responsibilities:

·  Gatekeeper for all Payroll Service team incoming tickets/cases from case management system.
·  Handle initial and/or basic payroll related request and issues.
·  Research issue, resolve and/or escalate to appropriate Sr Analyst or Analyst as needed.
·  Perform/request basic transactions to base pay related to actions such as disability and leaves, work schedule changes, new hires, employee movement, separations (final pay, severance), organization changes, job and pay changes, time and attendance data entry, and one-time payment requests on an ‘as needed' basis.
·  Ensure all company, federal, state, local, and other applicable compliance requirements are met.
·  Perform transactions in accordance with SOX controls always.
·  Create reports of activities and findings to document results and review with the manager.
·  Assist with review and update of payroll services documentation. Work with the Analyst, Sr Analyst, and/or Manager to assure maintenance of documentation (e.g., Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Procedures, Job Aides) to ensure complete, accurate, and up-to-date depiction of processes.
·  Collect, analyze, and update payroll and other payroll related data according to established timelines, standards, and procedures.
·  Ensure a basic understanding of payroll procedures and basic familiarity with broader payroll service center strategies.
·  Provide ideas to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of payroll.
·  Participate in and support analysts and manager with departmental initiatives.
·  Seek feedback, continuously learn, and take advantage of opportunities to improve knowledge, skill, and experience. Monitor results to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
·  Assist others where possible for the good of the team and department. Adhere to company, department, and team standards of professionalism and protocol. Ensure that behavior complies with the J&J credo and supports a positive work environment.

Qualifications

·  A Bachelor's Degree is required
·  A minimum of 2 years of payroll related experience is required.
·  Previous experience in payroll, preferably for a large multi-state company as coordinator.
·  Experience in a shared service center environment preferred.
·  Basic understanding of payroll processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance requirements.
·  Proficiency in verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and vendors.
·  A sense of urgency in resolving customer requests and an ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
·  A high degree of confidentiality and sensitivity to compliance-related matters.
·  Ability to influence others, identify problems, and recommend a course of action.
·  Ability to handle ambiguity and fluid situations, demonstrating a pragmatic approach.
·  Proficiency in interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully work with internal stakeholders and colleagues to contribute ideas, identify opportunities, and contribute to positive outcomes.
·  Knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism in a customer service environment are essential.
·  Experience with an ERP system desirable (payroll modules of SAP preferred).
·  Experience with payroll applications and service providers desirable.
·  Experience with Microsoft tools and applications desirable.
