·  The Clinical Operations Manager develops strategies to address complex clinical issues.
·  This individual will manage the strategic elements of study conduct in conjunction with research clinician, ensuring that operating procedures and company policies are followed.
·  Develop and manage timelines, resourcing and budget for all Johnson & Johnson Vision Care (JJVC) clinical trials.
·  As technical expert for clinical operations, provide compelling rationale for decisions, present strategies in a clear message and drive innovation with functional area.
·  Establish key operating practices for department/project while ensuring cross-functional synergy.
·  Mentor/facilitate successful team behavior.
·  Partner with Platform Managers and Research Optometrists/Clinicians/BioStatisticians to ensure that project deliverables are met.
·  Manage relationships externally with Strategic Partners, including universities, research institutions and Contract Resource Organizations (CROs).
·  Adhere to environmental policy, procedures, and support department environmental objectives. Engage in Credo-based decision-making.

Desired profile

Qualifications

·  A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required, preferably in a Science or a related discipline.
·  A minimum of 7 years of experience in Clinical Research within a Medical Device or Pharmaceutical regulated industry is required.
·  A minimum of 2 years of experience as a clinical research associate is required.
·  Strong knowledge and application of principles, concepts and practices of clinical research procedures and Good Clinical Practices (GCPs) required.
·  Strategic and tactical clinical and business knowledge to gain approval and ensure maintenance of legal marketing status of products is preferred.
·  Must have strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
·  Broad based clinical and technical knowledge and skills in diverse areas of business (e.g. Research & Development, Operations, Quality Assurance, laboratory, regulatory, project management, etc.) is required.
·  The ability to provide innovative approaches to address complex clinical research issues to gain regulatory approvals is required.
·  This position will require up to 20% travel.
