Summary:
Provides overall direction for a network of sites and is accountable for all aspects of production execution in the areas of customer service, cost and quality. Responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating potential site or EM performance gaps. Manage short-term capacity to ensure capability to deliver production requirements in support of customer service goals while ensuring site compliance (EH&S, cGMP, etc.) and developing/executing management action plans where site gaps exist. Direct resources in the management of large projects (reformulations, site transfers, etc) and provides critical input into the overall EM network strategy. Own all aspects of production execution for a portfolio of external sites producing finished products across a range of technologies and product regulatory classifications (Cosmetic, OTC Drug, NDA, Medical Device Class I & II). Responsible for delivering KPIs in the areas of customer service, cost and quality and holding external manufacturers accountable for delivery of these goals

Responsibilities:
• Provides overall direction for a network of sites and is accountable for all aspects of tactical production execution in the areas of customer service, cost and quality.
• Responsible for managing site responsibility for pure-buy Raw Material availability & stability.
• Proactively identifies & mitigates any potential site or EM performance gaps.
• Manages short-term capacity (0-18 months) to ensure capability to deliver production requirements in support of customer service goals.
• Ensure site compliance (EH&S, social and regulatory).
• Develop management action plans where site gaps exist and hold suppliers accountable for closure of issues. Understands current & potential future supplier capabilities and sets performance and capability expectations for the next 2-3 years. Conduct periodic business reviews with suppliers to develop and drive appropriate business strategies.
• Champions LEAN manufacturing and Process Excellence at the site level and utilizes the toolsets (e.g. VSM) to identify improvement opportunities. Assists EMs and sites to identify opportunities to drive sustainable cost and lead time reductions. Develops site level LEAN deployment plan at existing strategic suppliers and executes against targets.
• Understands network BCP risks and develops strategies to mitigate risk at the site level. Ensure that site is properly trained in business continuity planning and risk mitigation. Holds site accountable for analyzing RM BCP risk for pure-buy materials. Holds sites accountable for execution of mitigation plans.
• Sets clear expectations around critical site initiatives with business partners (QA, Engineering, TA/TT) and aligns resources to execute. Communicate EM OGSM & priorities to support teams and ensure cross functional alignment.
• Develop & manage direct reports and ensure they possess the critical skills to deliver on portfolio targets.

Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelors Degree is required. A focused degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or other technical area is preferred. An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in an FDA regulated environment is required.
• Experience in Supply Chain supporting one or more of the following functions is required: External manufacturing, procurement, engineering, operations management, supply chain, and/or logistics.
• A minimum of 2 years experience as a people manager is required.
• Experience with Six Sigma/Process Excellence Tools, Training and/or Certification is preferred.
• Project Management Training and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and leadership skills to provide solid business and product-focused conclusions and recommendations are required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to influence and constructively challenge cross-functional project teams and business partners (across all levels) to achieve project goals are required.
• This role will be based in Skillman, NJ and may require up to 30% domestic/international travel based on business needs.
