Biosense Webster, Inc., a member of the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for an ACAS Program Specialist, based in Southern California, and able to travel at least twice per week to Irvine, California.
The Cardiovascular & Specialty Solutions (CSS) Group, part of the Medical Devices sector within Johnson & Johnson, consists of four diverse businesses including Acclarent, Biosense Webster (BWI), Cerenovus, and Mentor. The CSS Group serves a diverse base of customers in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Electrophysiology (EP), Neurovascular, and Surgical and Non-Surgical Aesthetics.
Atrial fibrillation (AFIB) is a quivering or irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia) that can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications. 20 million people around the world suffer from AFIB each year. Biosense Webster, Inc. is the global leader in the science of diagnosing and treating heart rhythm disorders. The company established its leadership in electrophysiology with the development of the first real-time, 3D cardiac mapping and navigation technology, as well as the first electrophysiology catheter. The introduction of the company's CARTO® 3 System in 2009 revolutionized 3D mapping technology by increasing the accuracy, speed, and efficiency of the cardiac ablation procedure.
The ACAS Program Specialist will support Biosense Webster's organizational strategy, execute training plan strategies, and track outcomes. The Program Specialist will report in to the ACAS Program Manager and assist in identifying training and developmental needs and drive suitable training initiatives that build a foundation for clinical success to meet the personnel needs of the organization. The objective of this role is to enhance ACAS' training experiences and develop the ACAS' skills, performance and productivity. This role isbased in southern California, and will require up to 25% domestic travel.
Responsibilities:
• Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable company guidelines related to regulatory, health, safety and environmental practices, this position coordinates and executes clinical curriculums intended for ACAS training.
• The ACAS Program Specialist is responsible for identifying and coordinating current and future training needs through continuous program evaluation.
• Manage communication of ACAS logistics and coordinate placement of ACAS in appropriate training sites with field managers and field trainers
• Partner with ACAS Program Manager to identify appropriate physician faculty and hospital training site locations to provide optimal training experiences
• Coordinate training requirements and schedules with site trainers, physician faculty and hospitals to ensure ACAS' are fully supported with on the job training
• Manage physician and hospital contracts and payments in accordance with proper documentation requirements in line with HCC.
Conduct new hire orientation through virtual sessions and maintain a two way dialogue with ACASs throughout their training
• Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report results to the ACAS Program Manager
• ACAS Program specific curriculum and training content will be reviewed regularly and according to Biosense Webster's company regulatory and legal review policy.
• Responsible for following all company guidelines related to health, safety and environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition
• Responsible for ensuring personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
Desired profile
Qualifications
• Minimum of three (3) years medical device industry experience is preferred
• Current or previous cardiovascular and/or electrophysiology experience is preferred
• Current or prior experience working within a Learning Management System is preferred
• Minimum of one (1) year experience designing and executing successful training programs or curriculum, as well as delivering training in both group and individualized settings is preferred
• Knowledge in Biosense Webster field organization is preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office applications is required
• Proficiency in facilitating in a virtual environment is preferred
• Strong report writing and record keeping ability is preferred.
• Ability to plan and manage time effectively is preferred
• This position is based in southern California, and will require up to 25% domestic travel
