User Experience (UX) Manager-9924150629DescriptionJanssen Healthcare Innovation (JHI) is recruiting a User Experience (UX) Manager to support the development of our Care4Today Mobile Health Manager solution. This position can be located anywhere within the United States, with the preferred location being San Diego CA. Up to 10% travel is required.
Care4Today is an umbrella brand used by JHI for all of its enabling technologies and integrated care businesses. Currently JHI is trialing and building integrated care propositions in areas of great unmet need that align to Janssen and J&J’s long term strategic imperatives. Our initial focus is on building, trialing, and commercializing technologies for mobile patient engagement (Care4Today Mobile Health Manager), pre and post-surgical recovery (Care4Today Orthopedic and Bariatric Solutions), and community mental health care (Care4Today Mental Health Solutions).Our new service models integrate care, educate, engage and empower patients and healthcare professionals alike. To date over a 1000 patients have been enrolled in our integrated care programs and exposed to our technologies. Evidence collected to date across the US and EMEA suggests that our Care4Today Solutions can improve clinical outcomes, drive productivity gains (reduces overall resource utilization) and increase patients and staff satisfaction; thereby having the potential for significant value creation for health care systems as a whole.
The focus of the UX Manager creating, evolving, and managing the overall User Experience for Care4Today applications. User experience is comprised of six functional areas: Usability, Graphic Design, Accessibility, Internationalization, and User Education. The User Experience role has several responsibilities within each functional area that must be managed for the solution to be successful. Following is a listing of the functional areas and related responsibilities: Usability
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize user requirements. Provide feedback and input to solution design. Develop usage scenarios and use cases. Act as the user advocate to the project team. Graphic Design
- Drives user interface design. Create graphic assets – wireframes, UI design comps, etc. Manage design team resources, both internal and external. Accessibility
- Drive accessibility concepts and requirements into design. Internationalization
- Improve the quality and usability of the solution in international markets. User Education
- Develops and executes learning strategy. Design and develops documentation for support systems.
QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. 5+ years professional work experience in User Experience and UI Design is required. Experience in design of mobile applications is required. Experience and passion for design of medical/health related applications is preferred. Experience participating in software development lifecycles (SDLC) is preferred. Must have excellent internal communication skills (verbal and written) including ability to work with all levels of the organization. Successful collaboration in a distributed or complex team environment.
