Lead-level engineering, architecture, and development responsibilities for globally scalable, operationally sustainable information technology infrastructure solutions, with subject matter expertise in client operating systems and hardware platforms for Windows devices enterprise wide.
Develop strong partnership with the technology vendors to ensure that changes to the technologies are communicated in a timely manner and that new releases are made available for early testing. Maintaining close partnership with the Enterprise Management Services, Automation, Mobility, Security, Networking and Product management groups are essential to ensure all requirements for application functionality, platform security, platform automation, platform self-service/self-managing/self-healing, and platform manageability are supported at the core. Provide technical leadership to junior team members. This position will have a strong relationship and interface to all ITS and BUIT counterparts to design, communicate, propose, and deliver solutions. Provide detailed guidance, project updates, and utilization metrics to ITS Management organizationThe position requires interaction with business partners to understand the capabilities required by the business & business unit IT. This includes assessing the current state and developing IT strategies that support the business strategies. Develop and manage associated portfolio projects. Includes requirement gathering, estimating resources, project prioritization, collaborate with IT delivery teams for project execution. Ensure project plans are defined and executed to achieve the business and technical objectives.
Specific responsibilities of the position will include the following: Lead engineering efforts around the evaluation, standardization, monitoring, management, and planning of current and future OS builds and deployment design. Maintain legacy systems as needed. Representing all areas of the team’s Client Computing system to internal and external sourcesEvaluate, design, and deploy technologies to enable enhanced, use of O365 and Adobe suite of products. Provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members. Serve as development lead, product manager, or related key project role for internal or external initiatives related to subject area expertise, providing necessary and relevant project artifacts, status updates, utilization and scheduling guidance, and related communications to the project manager and project team members.
Ensure effective communication between teams, internal/external customers, vendors and partners. Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the team to identify and optimize existing processes. Ensure new solutions are implemented in accordance with IT and SOX policies and procedures.
QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required. A minimum of 6 years relevant experience is required. This position requires a strong track record of technology leadership, experience in planning and managing large and complex shared services platforms. The ability to operate effectively with partner IT organizations as well as with third-party IT vendors is required. A track record in program/project delivery to deliver project results is also required. Experience working with end user related systems/projects is highly preferred. Significant experience with Windows OS, MS Office, Adobe products and desktop security related products is required. Apple expertise a plus. Must have the ability to work in a global environment. Experience in a large enterprise environment is a plus.
This position will be located in Raritan, NJ and may require up to 10% travel.
