The portfolio includes heritage brands JOHNSON'S® Baby and BAND-AID® Brand, as well as leading skin care brands such as AVEENO® and CLEAN & CLEAR®.Senior Supply Chain PlannerThe primary responsibility of the Senior Supply Chain Planner is to ensure continuity of supply of finished goods for assigned brands within the Neutrogena franchise, in support of the overall Neutrogena franchise. This position is responsible for managing inventory levels and the deployment of finished goods according to customer demands and company objectives. The position will also advise management and brand/franchise team members of the current and future status of product supply related information for existing and new products.
Responsibilities:The Senior Supply Chain Planner is accountable for achieving brand/franchise UFR metric and evaluates backorder and critical inventory situations and takes corrective actions to resolve both the immediate and potential future reoccurrence. S/he is responsible for proactively communicating customer service impact (time period, dollars) to management and brand/franchise team members. Inventory: Accountable for achieving brand/franchise inventory metric (dollars/DOS). Plan, review and manage finished good sku inventory levels (and work-in-progress inventory where appropriate). S/he is responsible for the management of inventory targets. Identify Slow Moving and Obsolete (SLOB) inventory and take appropriate action to discontinue/disposition inventory in support of brand/franchise SLOB metric. S/he participates on New Product Launch teams for the timely implementation of new products. Leads logistics execution teams during final phase of launch to ensure product availability meets customer demand. S/he ensures that all system master data is complete in support of time line and acts as an active participant/leader in the brand/franchise S&OP process. S/he provides analyses and solutions for improving supply continuity and reducing cost, while achieving company objectives for customer service, inventory and gross profit. Capacity: Regularly reviews and understands network capacity requirements and capabilities to ensure that brand/franchise customer demands are met. S/he seeks to understand demand requirements and translate them into capacity requirements for the production plants and leads production planning teams to mitigate capacity constraints that impact customer service. S/he acts as a key liaison between J&J Consumer and manufacturing sites and leads process improvements to deliver business results. S/he pursues developmental training opportunities, particularly in the area of supply chain management via APICS certification. The J&J Consortium also provides an array of developmental training opportunities. Based on organizational design, may have part-time (intern/co-op) direct reports.
The Senior Supply Chain Planner takes advantage of mentoring opportunities (I.e. co-op mentoring) to develop self, people management skills and provide critical guidance to future recruits. S/he regularly collaborates with cross-functional partners including Internal and External Manufacturing Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Quality, Sales and Marketing to resolve issues impacting their areas of responsibility. S/he works with domestic and international manufacturing locations and will lead Special Projects to improve forecast accuracy, inventory reductions, transit time, and product. S/he participates in site relocations, planning process improvements, and upstream supply chain improvements in compliance with the Company policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as required.
J2W: LI NAQualificationsRequirements:A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. It is preferred that this individual has a focused degree in engineering, supply chain, operations or similar focus. Business Certifications and/or training are preferred. Appropriate certifications are: APICS: CSCP/CPIM, Process Excellence Six Sigma. It is required that the Senior Supply Chain Planner has a minimum 3 years of business experience. It is highly preferred that this individual has 2 years of business experience in one of the following areas: planning, forecasting, distribution, purchasing, plant operations, or supply-chain. People Management Experience is preferred.

This position is located in Los Angeles, CA and requires minimal travel.
