The Senior Manager, Portfolio Management will work closely with regional management boards and cross functional leaders from dedicated and shared service functions to drive business results. The manager is a business leader capable of operating at multiple levels with the organization; from supporting projects teams to strategic insight and analysis. He/She will contribute to assessment, optimization, and prioritization of both franchise specific and business unit portfolios to influence decisions that best promote business needs when faced with conflicting priorities and/or constrained resources.

The Senior Manager, Portfolio Management will be accountable for Portfolio leadership for the McNeil OTC business. This includes: Leading the organization toward attainment of business and strategic plans, enhancing project and process competencies, driving strategic investment decision-making and prioritization, establishing POET metrics. He/she will implement, maintain, and improve Risk Management program to influence and assist Governance forums in decision making. Lead and influence decisions in Governance forums. Manage Governance meetings, drive linkages between global projects and local execution, and help to create project links across regions. Manage Governance meetings, and drive linkages between growth and supply chain projects. Accountable to own updates and reporting metrics related pipeline – growth and supply chain projects, providing analysis and commentary for business updates, Governance forums, etc. Lead and support Project Management in the implementation of new and maintenance / improvement of existing tools, processes, and techniques to drive consistency and reporting of business status and results. Manage POET training of PM / portfolio tools and systems – and outside users as needed. May be responsible for co-op management and recruiting.
QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. MBA or other advanced degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility in the OTC, consumer products, and/or pharmaceutical industries is required. Experience with portfolio management at a franchise or business unit level is preferred. Project Governance and/or risk management experience is highly preferred. Prior experience presenting to Sr. Leadership is highly preferred. PMP or other Project Management certification is preferred. Process Excellence or Six Sigma certification is preferred. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills are required. A proven record of leading teams in a matrix environment to deliver results is required. Familiarity with standard PM tools and templates is required. Business and Financial acumen is required. Demonstrated leadership & influencing skills are required. Portfolio management, project management, team leadership or functional line management experience in consumer or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
This position will be based in Fort Washington, PA and may require up to 25% domestic and international travel.
