The Service Consultant reports to the Area Business Manager (ABM) and is responsible for working at the direction of a Sales Consultant (SC) to ensure the achievement of the annual sales forecast and other related targets in their geographic territory. Support Consultants in generating revenue, covering cases, and providing logistical support for DePuy Synthes Mitek Sports Medicine sales teams. Serve as an extension of hospital staff (particularly in smaller, regional hospitals) to ensure cases run smoothly and that inventories are properly maintained.provide technical assistance in the OR, training and in-service of surgeons, ensure equipment availability and maintenance, handle customer requests, effectively manage hospital billingKnowledge of the sales process, general Mitek sports medicine knowledge, product knowledge, customer knowledge, competitive intelligence is necessary.
The Service Consult will be responsible for the maintenance and tracking of equipment in their assigned territory.
Position requires extensive travel within territory with the possibility of weekend work and/or limited overnight travel. Majority of time will be spent in surgeon office and/or hospital setting and includes coverage of cases in operating room (OR), coordination of equipment required for case coverage, and logistics related to hospital billing and replenishment.
J2W:LI NAJ2W:MREPSQualificationsQualified candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required. A minimum of 1 year of work experience where leadership skills and ability to work independently required. The ability to work in a lab/operating room environment is required. 2 years+ of previous healthcare experience is preferred. Previous hospital/Operating room experience and/or clinical experience in orthopedic sports medicine is required. A successful and consistent track record of delivering results is required. Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving and business acumen skills required. A qualified candidate will be efficient, organized, self-motivated, positive and pro-active. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States and must have a clean driving record. The ability to travel related to this role is required. Candidate must live in or be willing to relocate to the posted territory.
