- Mass SpectrometryThe qualified candidate will join the Vaccine Process and Analytical Development group, part of Global R&D. Within Analytical Development Department, the candidate will join the Chemistry and Biophysics Group focused on analytical support for small and large molecules characterization and quantification. This group develops analytical strategies specific to analytical techniques that are needed to progress Biotherapeutic products in the pipeline; this includes method development, process development support, formulation and stability support, product characterization, method qualification and transfer.
Tasks
- Leading role in research and development activity in the mass spectrometry function. Works closely with supervisor to determine specific goals and requirements
- Plays a collaborative role in project management including scheduling, prioritizing, data and report generating to ensure the progress of projects
- Processes samples for LC/MS and GC/MS based analysis following SOPs; operates mass spectrometry, liquid and gas chromatography independently to produce results on assigned research projects
- Presents findings to supervisors and professional groups. Writes study plans and report
- Maintains LC/MS and GC/MS instruments, identifies potential problems and suggests preventative measures to ensure efficient use of all instrumentationsQualifications
- 3-5 years (M.S.) or 0-5 years (Ph.
D.) experience in biotech industry
- Hands on experience in the field of LC-MS (Waters Synapt G2 Tof) in context with protein characterization desired
- Hands on experience on GC-MS/FID
- Experience in extractables and leachables or analysis of polymer based product contact materials
- Experienced in method development for release and product characterization for GC-MS, LC-MS
- Experience in method qualification and validation desired
- Business fluent in German and English
