Creates and executes tactical plans in the following key areas: promotional programming, advisory boards, franchise partnerships, grant processing and operations, health care community, and field based clinical/medical education. Develops clear and concise written briefs to medical education agencies including scope, budget, background and objectives of each project so that agencies have optimum and appropriate information in order to produce excellent plans. Develops and prepares materials for use in external educational meetings. Creates plans for external educational meetings to include creating technical agendas, logistics and delegate handling. Works with thought leaders, academic institutions, the field team, and internal stakeholders in order to drive initiatives. Works on symposia, advisory boards, and academic platform proposals to develop clinical/medical education programs. Manages the inflow of all grant requests. Supports the execution and management of clinical/medical education of faculty at the community and academic level.[Job Description]We are looking for a passionate person who loves the education of surgeons and Healthcare Professional (HCPs), driven by a service oriented mind and who has the ability to support projects and develop educators.
The role reports into the Asia Pacific Regional Professional Education (ProfEd) Head Claire Yoo.
The position objectives are to:
- Deliver the full range of Healthcare Professional (HCPs) Education Activities and Drivers within the defined pathway (including onsite & offsite solutions) for Joint Reconstruction, Trauma and Mitek Business Units.
- Develop, plan, manage and deliver Instructional Courses, Symposia and other Professional Educational Activities within the existing framework.
- Shape and Develop and design new onsite & offsite educational solutions to support HCP needs.
- Develop and support also educational activities for new product launches.
- Develop and cultivate Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) by specialty in cooperation with countries, while and maintaining excellent collaboration with faculties. Develop a pool of excellent faculties, expose them to training activities (train the trainers, train the chairmen…).
- Identify, develop and manage appropriate budget for development of HCP education activities.
- Measures and analyzes results for continuous improvement.
- Develop strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders at Asia Pacific, Cluster and Country levels.
- Act as an interface between functional departments (HCC and others) and the marketing teams to ensure all activities meet legal and healthcare compliance regulations.
- Work in close cooperation with the regional marketing team to ensure knowledge of products, procedures & trends is continuously updated.
- Ensure all ProfEd facilities and venues meet organizational policies and requirements, as well as industry/market regulations including regionally operating cadaver labs.
The key requirements are:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Over three years of medical device sales experience or relevant clinical experience.
- Over three years of business unit experience and/or clinical expertise required.
- Experience in the professional education or marketing preferred.
- Experience in managing projects, budgets and analytics desirable.
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Proven track record of delivering against objectives.
- Flexible and willing to travel frequently.
- Navigating effectively within a matrix organization.
- Fluent in English. Other Asian languages a plus.
- Passion for education and very service oriented. Proud in educating surgeons and other HCPs and developing people.
