Regional Demand and S&OP Manager / Vision Care-1500067268WDescriptionJob OverviewThe Vision Care Regional Demand and S&OP Manager is a new position within the Vision Care Planning function responsible for Regional Demand and S&OP management.
The Demand and S&OP Manager is accountable for the demand planning process and S&OP process for his / her region, responsible for improving overall S&OP process, forecast accuracy and inventory optimization.
The Demand and S&OP Manager will work closely with the Regional Commercial, Finance and CLS teams to drive S&OP maturity, increased forecast accuracy, execution of local events such as promotions, NPI launches and Product discontinuations.
The Demand and S&OP Manager will ensure that the established forecasting process is well defined and that the Demand forecast is generated, reviewed and validated.
Job ScopeThe role will cover all aspects of Regional Demand planning and Sales & Operational Planning including:
- Regional Tactical and Executive S&OP
- Regional Forecasting
- Short and medium term Planning
- Scenario Planning
- Alignment between Supply Chain, Regional Commercial and finance plans
- Regional Planning Metrics and Analytics
- Implementation of Best Practices and toolsMain Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the Regional Demand Consensus process to generate a demand consensus forecast through assessment of demand planning data and alignment with regional and global strategic inputs.
- Ensure the established Forecasting Process is well defined and a demand forecast is generated, reviewed and validated.
- Prepare, monitor and report a set of metrics (MAPE, BIAS, etc.) to Regional and Global management.
- Develop and maintain analytics to support continuous improvement (i.e. tracking signal, forecast ability, forecast Process Value Add), developing new and ad hoc reports as required.
- Segment portfolio and apply appropriate techniques to each segment.
- Act as a central point of contact for his / her region for Demand-derived concerns.
- Identify opportunities to effectively shape demand to influence service and / or cost (inventory).
- Gather and understand market intelligence, customer forecast, promotional activity, seasonality and other external factors that impact demand. Make recommended adjustments to forecast based on this information.
- Design and generate monthly analysis of demand, checking for trends and anomalies so that key stakeholders can make better informed decisions.
- Continuously suggest improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.
- Generate and review reports of the financial forecast and the sales forecast for appropriate stakeholders
- Work closely with Regional commercial, finance and CLS partners to improve overall Demand planning process and forecast accuracy through shared supply chain / commercial accountability.
- Work with Regional teams to ensure promotions, special events and programs are incorporated into regional forecast submissions.
QualificationsEducation and ExperienceEssential:
- University Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Operations / Supply Chain or equivalent. MBA in Engineering, business or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems.
- Min 5 years Demand Planning Experience, Medical device or Consumer industry preferredDesirable:
- Planning Certification (APICS/ IBF)
- Green Belt Six Sigma Certification.
- Experience of working in an S&OP environment
- People Management experience●   Familiarity with relevant legislation – e.g. Import/ Export legislation, GMP, ISO requirementsEducation and ExperienceEssential:
- University Bachelors Degree in Engineering / Operations / Supply Chain or equivalent. MBA in Engineering, business or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems.
