The Project Manager, Digital Solutions is a critical role within the Digital Solutions Product Development team. This position is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day project management duties in support of product development projects and requires expertise in cross-functional partnering and leadership, project planning and tracking, and formal presentations. S/he will be skilled in digital software project management, experienced in working with external development partners, and knowledgeable on PC & web-based software environments.
The Project Manager must be able to work under general direction to identify and independently manage priorities and tasks across multiple, concurrent projects and act as the primary contact across functional stakeholder areas (e.g. R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal, Clinical, Quality, Operations, Business Development, etc.). S/he must be able to identify gaps in planning and associated tasks for other functional areas and influence those disciplines to ensure project success.
In addition, the Project Manager develops project plans and associated schedules with integrated activities from the internal Core Team, internal R&D Team, internal Test Team, and the external partners performing digital development functions. S/he manages internal teams and executes project according to the plan using both internal and external development and testing resources, tracks activities of external development partners and facilitates integration of their work with internal processes, ensures all deliverables are completed on time, on budget, and developed according to development processes and quality expectations.
Working under general direction, the Project Manager anticipates and mitigates technical and project problems and proactively influence cross-functional organizations and management to reduce project risk and must be able to set priorities and manage multiple, concurrent projects flawlessly. S/he participates in and/or lead internal project Core Teams, creates and conduct formal presentations of project status and proposals to appropriate management, and will occasionally be required to perform ad hoc testing of interim builds of the product to ensure adherence to quality and product requirements.
QualificationsA minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline is preferred. Advanced degree is also preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years of project management experience is required. Experience in the development of web-based and/or mobile software solutions is preferred.
A proven track record of leading project teams from inception through launch is required. Experience working with multi disciplinary teams is required. Strong leadership and relationship management skills are required. Must be able to influence other disciplines and management.
Project management experience and experience working with working with external development partners is required. Must be knowledgeable on pc & web-based software environments as this is also required. Experience in using associated software tools to perform these functions (e.g. MS Project) is required. Knowledge of mobile app solutions is preferred.
This position is located in Wayne, PA and may require up to 10% domestic travel.
