Planning Excellence Manager-000011ZZDescriptionRole ProfileThe Diabetes Solutions Planning Excellence Manager is responsible for the development of end to end process capabilities in JJDS Supply Chain for Business Systems, Master Data, and Process Modeling. This position requires an experienced supply chain professional familiair with the latest developments on process modelling & analytics, data management practises, and APS / ERP business management experience. The role requires global change management experience aligning multiple business partners across all supply chain functions.
Technical Competencies & Responsibilities
- Outline the critical processes that are required to drive short and medium term impact in terms of Customer experience, Capital Efficiency and Profitability. Take clear ownership for transforming these processes with a specific plan for transformation, deployment, change Management and governance inclusive of ownership in delivering Business results.
- Map Global Supply Chain Processes for JJDS from Vendor Supply through to Distributors and Customers, with a focus on how to enable growth, drive efficiencies, and improve Customer Experience
- Analyse the current strengths and weaknesses of the Supply Chain processes and develop both short and medium term action plans to address.
- Clearly identify and target a significant change in Business results in terms of Service, Inventory and Capital efficiency through deploying an End to End Reliability & Optimization Process.
- Deliver clear short term Business value by identifying and addressing immediate opportunities.
- Develop and leverage Supply Chain risk models, capture Customer insights and develop a clear understanding of the competitive Supply Chain levers as input into the Supply Chain Design.
- Develop, deploy and embed a longer term Supply Chain strategy that positions the Supply Chain to deliver the right level of service in a cost competitive manner (benchmark cost, inventory, and customer experience)
- Manage the portfolio of projects for the JJDS Plan LT
- Research and recommend appropriate technology requirements to support Supply Chain process design.
- Align with and leverage support from the J & J Enterprise Center of Excellence on best practice and processes.
- Adopt and deploy best practices in Global Change Management to align with new processes and systems.
- Engage all Global Stakeholders in developing an End to End Supply Chain design that supports both Commercial and Customer requirements.
- Partner with all functions, in particular CLS & the Commercial Organizations both Globally and Regionally, to drive a step change in Customer Experience
- Engage both Supply Chain and Commercial Executive Stakeholders in tactical and strategic deliverables.
- Provide leadership for integration into the Regions, ensuring clear connectivity of Planning Processes, along with Optimized product flow
- Leads global Master Data Management & Governance for JJDS Supply Chain, enabling enhanced global management of supply chains.
- Develops Strategy for Master Data Management in JJDS SC in alignment and cooperation with the CMD Master Data group and the enterprise Master Data team and in accordance with the global supply chain programs (Back to Basics, One Voice, etc).
- Benchmark Master Data processes practices and quality, both J&J internally and externally in strong collaboration with the Enterprise.
- Leverage best practices across the regions, sectors and from outside J&J.
- Define a global Master Data capability, roles and responsibilities and governance processes and enable synchronized capabilities globally.
- Lead projects to deliver improvements to master data work streams (data structure design/model, data maintenance business, process design).
- Ensure alignment between the Master data objectives and key stakeholders. Ensure alignment of goals and objectives in MDM with overall supply chain goals and objectives.
- Identify, schedule and drive Master Data team deliverables, including resource allocations and priorities.
- Lead master data teams with problem resolution, issue management, etc.
- Run regular Master Data quality assessments and feedback sessions.
- Design the data maintenance strategy and organization structure.
- Ensure consistent master data processes are applied and adhered to globally.
- Lead projects to deliver improvements to master data work streams (data structure design/model, data maintenance business, process design).
- Provides leadership to the Master Data Management organization globally.
- Support Supply Chain Projects and other global projects in all Master Data relevant activities.
- Leads Business Systems governance and development for the JJDS Supply Chain, ensuring capabilities of strategic system enabled business processes
- Manage current and design and implement future business systems that support the JJDS Supply Chain Teams.
- Develop and implement new business processes and system infrastructure to support JJDS, CMD, & J&J enterprise Supply Chain vision and mission.
- Recommend appropriate technology requirements for existing business processes.
- Lead development of system improvements across the business.
- Develop and sustain positive working relationships that span cultural, functional and geographical boundaries.
- Partner with support organizations to deliver process improvements
- Manage and report on progress of Supply Chain system projects.
- Develop and deliver training as required.

- Significant experience within Global Supply Chain Master Data Management practice
- Proven strong leadership skills, including ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Must be able to influence other stakeholders and management.
- Detailed business understanding of ERP and Advanced Planning platformsDesirable
- Prior experience in project management software
- Change management experience
- Experienced in coaching and developing teams within a matrix organization.
- Proven record of successfully managing teams in development and enhancement projects, including technology transfer.
- JDE ERP and/or Oracle Demand & Supply Planning systems knowledge.
