Position OverviewIn this Head Office based role, you will lead a team of Regional Medical Education Managers (MEM’s) to develop and execute a National Medical Education Strategy for Stelara® and Remicade® in order to maintain current patients, facilitate market expansion and communicate competitive differentiation. As a key member of the Business Implementation Team (BIM) and the Medical Education Team, you will actively participate in strategic planning and ongoing tactical management of the business and lead department initiatives.
Key responsibilities:Lead the development and ongoing execution of the National and Regional Medical Education plans supporting the Immunology Dermatology business.
Manage and implement in-field medical education activities and KOL development within DermatologyProvide direction to the MEM team as they develop and execute their plans in support of our regional efforts as a primary focus, and provide leadership as they partake in supporting national programsAttract, develop, recognize and retain an industry leading team of Dermatology MEMsEmbed themselves into the cross functional teams (BIMs, Access, government and community relations teams) supporting DermatologyThrough Customer Insight Research, provide strategic direction for existing and emerging customer peer to peer communication activities, major conferences, symposia etc.
Medical Education budget management for DermatologyConduct ongoing assessments of return on effort for non-CHE initiatives through leading and lagging indicatorsStay abreast of emerging data and translate the data into applicable tactics for knowledge transfer to health care professionalsContribute to the ongoing facilitation and management of data assets including the review processLead Medical Education franchise and Medical Affairs department projectsQualificationsUniversity degree in Business, Life Sciences or related Health Sciences discipline strongly preferredMBA an assetDemonstrated cycle of success within Dermatology / Immunology product Sales, Marketing and Medical Education is preferredTherapeutic area and customer knowledge in one or more areas (Dermatology, Rheumatology and IBD) and experience supporting a biologic product an assetHistory of strong collaboration skills in order to work proactively with Medical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, Market Access and other business partners on the brand’s competitive positioning.
Demonstration of coaching competencies and ability to lead people; previous experience in leadership roles a strong assetStrong knowledge of Rx&D code, Healthcare Compliance policies and procedures and the principles of adult learningResults driven, strategic thinker, strong project and account management skillsAbility to translate data into knowledge including contributing to the development of communication assetsDemonstrated ability to work closely with Key Opinion Leaders to gain key marketing insights and to develop CHE contentBilingual: French/English an assetMust be able to travel approximately 40% of the timeBE VITAL in your career.
