The Manager, E-commerce works in conjunction with the Sr. Manager to achieve overall strategic objectives for the Global E-commerce business. This role is focused on identifying, prioritizing and launching ecommerce capabilities with the goal of delivering best in class user experiences that support Acuvue’s global business and reinforce Acuvue as an industry leader. This individual will oversee global ecommerce enhancement (capabilities) projects from inception through launch and ensure deadline and goals have been successfully met. The ideal candidate will focus on accelerating ecommerce innovation while demonstrating a high level of both strategic and tactical thinking. This position will work closely with the Global Digital Centre of Excellence (DCOE) in order to leverage best in-class solutions.
Work closely with key markets, across the department and with outside vendors to establish best-in-class e-commerce features & capabilities globally in order to maximize KPI’s and deliver a delightful and seamless user experience across the full patient lifecycle including but not limited to:Acquisition & traffic driving initiatives including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), affiliates, e-CRMSite enhancement projects such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or new feature setsMedia and metric testing programs to increase conversion or other KPIsContent development and management toolsAll appropriate, cost effective vehicles to drive on-line revenue growthProvide leadership and guidance in the development of concepts, strategies, planning, implementation and coordination for e-commerce business activities; Ensure we are providing consumers and an exceptional experience across all digital e-commerce touch points.
Execute full lifecycle project management on e-commerce projects, including analysis and documentation of business requirements, functional and technical specifications, scoping, scheduling, functional team handoffs and strategic planning. Ensure deliverables align with brand, corporate and divisional priorities and goals.
Help develop global e-commerce goals, objectives and strategies as part of an annual business planning.
In close collaboration with marketing, sales, customer strategy and content development teams, help to define the ecommerce feature & capability roadmap and gain consensus on global and regional priorities.
Leverage data and insight from customer analytics to make data-driven changes and improvements in overall programs and monitor the success over time.
Establish processes and practices for the development of features & capabilities focused on driving JJVC initiatives including:Understanding essential capabilities to drive e-commerce functionality.
Defining short, mid & long term road map for features & capabilities to improve the user experience.
Partnering with analytics and optimization teams to capture and synthesize complex web data, product performance and voice of customer data to form actionable insights to accelerate growth.
Conducting frequent internal and external evaluations of the JJVC sites and retailer sites to ensure the optimal customer experience and highest quality features and capabilities, including regular competitive analysis of direct competitors and relevant non-competitors.
Guide and implement process changes and improvements to ensure scalability, standardization and maintainability of new e-commerce features & capabilities developed for JJVC.Oversee improvement and refinement of the project development process over time.
Play a key role in developing and deploying global training to build competency and skill building for our Global Sales teams (in collaboration with the Digital Centre of Excellence).Support projects to drive increased usage of JJVC’s sites, including customer acquisition traffic and conversion to meet and exceed budgeted goals; including developing ECP and patient lifecycle marketing and e-relationship building tactics.
Provide guidance and educate key stakeholders on industry best practices.
Serve as a key driver and influencer of new digital e-commerce ideas, programs and offerings focused on converting shoppers to buyers in the digital space; Provide digital thought leadership and consultation to cross-functional teams.
Monitor industry benchmarks and trends in customer behavior & technology. Provide POVs on existing and emerging digital trends, benchmarks and tactics to help teams evaluate digital marketing opportunities available.
Assists in selecting vendors and managing key vendor relationships; Develop, document and maintain procedures to expedite working with vendor partners. Build relationships with external agencies and resources.
Connects across Global marketplaces to drive results in key priority markets.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent degree is required, Master’s degree preferred.8 years relevant e-commerce or digital related work experience either in a business to business or retail organization. Global Experience required.
Extensive experience managing e-commerce projects including budgets; background in e-commerce technology, architecture and implementation is required.
Have an openness to continually drive productive change with an ability to see the big picture and think ahead to define new approaches and tackle future challenges.
Comprehensive understanding of the digital ecosystem and how e-commerce, web, mobile, social, search and channels work together to optimize behavior, acquisition and sales is requiredExperience managing website content and activities associated with website launches/redesigns including menu architecture development and web page layouts and graphic designs is required.
Advance analytical skills with knack for interpreting trends and data, and making informed projections/assertions is preferred.
A strong leader capable of developing, coaching, managing and motivating a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is preferred.
Ability and desire to work at both the strategic and tactical levels with proven success at developing integrated digital businesses from strategy through execution with a passion for driving profitable growth.
Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize work and balance a portfolio of programsA strong influencer to lead a diverse group of team members and stakeholder across multiple business areas and geography.
This position could require up to 25-30% travel both domestic and international.
