We currently have an opportunity for Laboratory Technicians based in Inverness. These positions are shift based 7am until 7 pm, 4 days on and 4 days off.
The role of the Quality Lab Technician is to conduct product testing and evaluation in order to assess product performance, and through various tests, generate product performance data for product analysis.
Main responsibilities include:
- Ability to identify appropriate test method(s) by product type, and execute product testing as required in a safe, compliant and timely manner
- Follows Quality Lab procedures as defined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and General Work Instructions (GWI’s) to test and initiate product quality testing, including the safe handling, disposal and testing of blood products
- General maintenance, set-up, calibration, and cleaning of laboratory equipment
- Maintains cGMP to Company standards and regulatory requirements
- Identifies compliance risk issues and bringing them to the attention Lab Management as necessary
- Working knowledge of cGMP
- Working knowledge of regulations governing lab operations
- Safe handling of blood products and blood testing
- Product knowledge
- Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision
- Ability to work within and communicate in a large team
- Planning and organizational skills
- Computer skills / confidence i.e. Microsoft Office; database systems; report generation, automated systems
- Time Management skills – ability to prioritize tasks to meet timelines
- Verbal communication skillsQualificationsDesirable criteria include:
- Certified Lab Technician
