For our department we are currently seeking for a student internship.
Student internship (6-9months)Department/Project:The Drug Product Development department (DPD) consists of the Formulation Development and the Fill/Finish Process groups. The department is responsible for formulation development, fill/ finish process development as well as preparations for and technical oversight of drug product manufacturing at contract manufacturing organizations.
This student internship project is in the Formulation Development group. This group is responsible for developing and optimizing formulations of investigational drug products ensuring good vaccine shelf life, primary packaging as well as conducting in-use stability studies to verify the quality of the product when administered according to the pharmacy manual. All activities are performed in close collaboration with other departments.
We are looking for a motivated student (BSc and/or MSc) who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary team and who will evaluate and implement the optimal formulation of an Adeno based vaccine (i.e. active pharmaceutical ingredient + buffer/excipients). The final goal of the internship is to contribute to the fine tuning of a stable formulation for a new injectable product not yet on the market, combining previously obtained data with new one generated within the internship period. Besides this, you will be involved in the day to day activities at the Formulation Development department, giving you the opportunity to have a complete picture of the product development process in a multinational pharmaceutical company. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art techniques and analytical tools for the characterization of the API.Since Crucell is part of Johnson & Johnson, you will work in a dynamic and international environment.
KwalificatiesMinimum Qualifications:MSc in biotechnology; knowledge in protein biochemistry; knowledge in chromatography principles and applications.
You must be a team player and able to work in autonomy, under the supervision of a scientist.
