Franchise Project Management Director-0255151019DescriptionJohnson & Johnson Consumer Products Company Division of Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies, Inc. is searching for a Franchise Project Management Director (FPMD) in Los Angeles, CA to lead, coach and develop a team of new product project managers who oversee regional and/or global new product projects for a consumer products franchise or set of brands. The scope of New Product projects is from charter thru to measuring marketplace performance and lessons learned. The goal is the on-time launch of new products that deliver on consumer insights, while meeting financial, quality, customer service, inventory, and cost goals.

The FPMD serves as the primary New Product Project Management contact and liaison for business partners including but not limited to, the General Manager, VP of Sales, VP of Marketing, Franchise RD&E Leader, Global Design Leader and CFO for the business supported providing strong partnering and keeping the organization appropriately informed of new product risk and developments. The FPMD also provides overall project management leadership for new product governance and decision making forums and participates in franchise level strategy setting teams as required.
This individual has responsibility for measuring and reporting the New Product Project Management Dashboard and the New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) Process results for their overall franchise and identifying and implementing robust, sustainable improvements. Additionally, this individual also serves as the project manager for complex and/or global new product projects.
QualificationsThis candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree required A MBA or MS is a plus. A degree in engineering, supply chain, or relevant field is a plus. A minimum of 12 total years of experience in key New Product relevant functions such as Engineering, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Sales or Supply Chain is required. Project Management experience is required. Experience launching new products in a GMP and regulated environment (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Diagnostics, or Consumer Product) is preferred. Experience managing and developing people is required. Six Sigma/Process Excellence skills, tools, training and/or certification, and PMP certification is a plus.
This candidate is required to have solid business knowledge, sound judgment, strong technical, communication, leadership, influencing, and change management skills. This candidate may be required to travel 10% of the time, domestically and internationally.
