This position will provide territory management for technical service covering UK and specifically the region appointed to the Field Service Engineer. In supporting the Regional Technical Manager, the Field Service Engineer will be required to maintain current knowledge of all customer enquiries, current installations, technical upgrades and field issues pertaining to the STERRAD, Glosair and accessory equipment. The FSE will be partly responsible for the customer-training programme and will manage the MXP reporting system. At times the FSE will be required to provide support to the EMEA Central Team.
The role involves the installation, maintenance and servicing of ASP equipment within hospitals within the South of the UK. You will work alongside the Account Managers, with whom you will communicate to understand the location and timelines of customers’ needs around the servicing and installation of the equipment.
You will communicate with Regional Technical Service Manager for communication and direction, EMEA Technical support team for discussion and resolution of key issues and les reps, CECs and FSEs for routine communications. In addition to customers you will also liaise with suppliers and equipment manufacturers.
Qualifications
- BSc in Physics / Electronics / Technical Engineering
- Existing field service engineer experience
- Good Knowledge of CSSD departments
- Complaint and regulatory knowledge
- Medical device experience preferable but not essential
- Strong technical ability including Mechanical Engineering, IT, Networking, Electronic theory, basic grasp of Physics
- Knowledge of working operation of equipment, computer skills including Microsoft office and database skills.
- Strong communication ability.
