Job Title: External Manufacturing ManagerResponsibilities:
- Managing all aspects of the manufacturing operations to ensure appropriate level of customer service cost and compliance. This includes (but not limited to) performance management, capacity and capability assessments and associated action plans, compliance, engineering, crisis management, service criticality meetings, OCNIS management, CAPEX recommendation and execution.
- Driving performance in terms of EHS & Quality compliance and other applicable J&J policies.
- Driving implementation of continuous improvement initiatives including but not limited to lean, M2W, SQE2, including identification, business case justification and execution.
- Ensure project execution at site level (NPD, Product transfers, CIPs, roll outs, new equipment specification definition and installation).
- Ensure for the External Manufacturers in charge the associated Account Plans are set, aligned with key stakeholders and executed.
- Participate on risk assessment activities and be accountable for the operational elements for external sites.
- Ensure proper Service Level Agreements are set, included in the contracts and adhere to standards.
- The External Manufacturing Manager meets these goals through partnering both internally and externally with a broad network of the following key stakeholders:
- Internally within a matrix environment with key J&J Departments: Strategic Sourcing, Quality & Compliance and Planning, coordinating other internal stake holders such, R&D, SMP, Regulatory and Engineering
- Externally with a wide variety of stakeholders, including, but not limited to: External Manufacturing top management, site leaders, and regulatory.
QualificationsQualifications:
- Master/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or other related fields
- Minimum 6 years of experience in operational experience in an international and cross-functional environment and project management experience
- Experiences in Supply Chain/Operations, Production, Engineering, Quality, R&D, Project Management – Supply Chain Sourcing, Supply Planning or Distribution/Transportation.
- Make Excellence, Process Excellence and Continuous improvement experience in Supply Chain and/or manufacturing environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of general manufacturing principles and practices, new product commercialization processes, compliance requirements (cGMP, GMP’s, DEA, and etc.), and end to end Supply Chain understanding and track record of improvements in processes that maximizes organizational value
