- BeNeLuxDepartment The Country Value Team Leader (CVTL) is the cross-functional therapeutic area leader for BENELUX. This strategic role represents the key interconnection between the local market and the EMEA Commercial organization, providing strategic insights and ensuring that the local perspective is integrated into EMEA brand strategy. The role also leads the Therapeutic Area for the BENELUX organization with responsibility to integrate all aspects of the product.
Working in collaboration with a cross functional team, the CVTL leads the group and integrates stakeholders to harmonize and localize the EMEA brand value plan and to make it work at local level, maximizing alignment to EMEA guidelines. The CVTL is the owner of the Local Brand Value Plan and as such will have expert knowledge of all aspects around the brand in country
- local customer needs, local requirements, competitive environment, business imperatives, payors, HEMAR, etc.. Using this knowledge the CVTL will make key decisions around how to achieve commercial success for the brand(s) in BENELUX, will own results for the local market, and communicate learnings back to EMEA.The CVTL is responsible for the successful commercial implementation of the brand value plan at OpCo level by developing go-to-market and channel strategy. The CVTL outlines and leads the customer strategy, customer value-added initiatives and stakeholder engagement plans. As local market expert, the CVTL will be expected to contribute to the identification of unmet customer needs and future evolution of products and services ‘around the pill’, constantly using the knowledge of the Customer to provide input and guidance to the EMEA Commercial organization.
The CVLT is responsible for the P&L of the brands within the therapeutic areas and monitors the performance, identifies critical opportunities and risks within the brand plan and evaluates investments for Benelux Life Cycle opportunities.
The CVTL reports to the Therapeutic Value Management Director Benelux.
Job description
- P&L responsible for the brands within the CVT
- Develops the brand strategy by making & updating business plans, signed off by all CVT memberso Provides scientific & commercial intelligence and insights in the prelaunch/ launch phase to anticipate competitive threats, and identifies market opportunities through local market research and competitive intelligence over the in-market phase of the product life cycleo Develops commercial tactics and messages plans to drive optimal launch and best brand positioning at local level, aligned with the EMEA brand strategy and product positioning. Drives digital components within the brand strategyo Is responsible for monitoring the development of brand campaigns and the implementation of core projects, as well as the organization of congresses/events, aligned to EMEA strategyo Leads the implementation of the segmentation, targeting, channel and marketing mix strategy at a local level, taking into consideration local market and customer needso Develops a network of customer relationships and implements a stakeholder-specific engagement plan to deliver the brand value proposition locally and is able to conduct peer to peer conversation
- Leads the CVT team and is responsible for balancing all functions within the CVT team (composed by Marketing, Sales, Business Intelligence, Finance, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs & HEMAR). Ensures the CVT achieves the required deliverables
- Leverages own network of KOLs and key stakeholders to build and monitor company/ brand loyalty
- Signs off business plans with the TVM Director
- Signs off sales targets with the Regional Stakeholder Team Leaders RSTLo Is expected to discuss with country leads in clusters (where applicable) in order to coordinate commercial input and strategyo Provides regular commercial insights to the regional cluster level (where applicable)o Provides local input to develop and prioritize stakeholder engagement plan across the region and to define an overall channel strategy framework

- Is strong in building bridges and alliances across functional and regional boundaries in order to drive value for the company
- Is responsible for sharing best practices in terms of processes, deliverables, approaches (where possible)· The successful candidate has a Pharmaceutical background and has demonstrated a strategic mindset, decision making ability and the ability to assimilate complex science and data quickly
- An advanced degree in business or life sciences is required
- Conceptual thinker, able to combine multiple insisght across multiple functions into a joint conclusion. Herewith being more of a generalist than a content matter expert. Needs to have a broad understanding of the different functions and roles within the CVT
- Fluent in English· Demonstrated ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders is required, previous experience is preferred
- In line marketing, commercial or medical experience with brand responsibility is required. Local marketing and launch experience is preferred
- Experience as a CVT-member in delivering and executing brand value strategies at local level is required. Is result-oriented and sets ambitious targets for him/herself and his/her team
- Demonstrated ability to develop insight and analysis, providing scientific and commercial intelligence and foresight is required
- Proven track of trade off decision making based on analytical thought and risk management
- Proven ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams, connecting people & functions
